So here we have another example of an individual coming from a background of white privilege who goes on a murder spree, shooting and killing innocent people near a college campus and Western media lable him as someone who just had "mental health issues" (which might be true). Now, if he was a Muslim, he would have immediately been called a terrorist, despite whatever motive he may have had, his entire background, ethnic and religious affiliation and patriotism would have been brought into question, and an entire community vilified.

The fact is, this kid is a spoiled rich brat, who comes from a background of white privilege and entitlement, who grew up in a society whose culture is out-right 'dull' and where teens have NOTHING to do besides just think about "sex" all the time..because that is what happens when your entire culture promotes the unlimited fulfillment of your desires, and the exploitation and oppression of women as nothing more than sex objects.

You won't see such things happening in dynamic, colorful, and 'happening' cultures like that of India/Pakistan. Anyone who has lived in both lands would attest to the fact that in America, things are just tooooooooo organized...life here is almost robotic...People work work work...need to have alcohol to have fun...and then there's sex... If you go outside in a street in Pakistan..you will meet like so many people..you'll see kids playing cricket..vendors selling their products..In short, you'll see "life" .....you'll see a dynamic human culture at work.

Here in U.S..you'll see nothing. If you want to get something...have a car...and go to big corporate stores. Neighbors even barely to talk to each other and everyone stays in their own robotic circle of life.

In such environment, such sick twisted mentality would emerge.

You couldn't have said it any better. Overseas in Palestine if you're not busy with your hundreds of cousins all day everyday you'll be busy with new friends and neighbors.

I can't see how becoming a **** star or a drug dealer (sadly, what most White youth end up doing nowadays due to restricted job market and affirmative action) can be considered "White privilege".

I think it is also happening in a women side.......the problem is that any person just try to seek worthiness, it is our natural instinct. And for someone that is lack of it because of not having a supportive environment since he/she was a kid, they will find worthiness in a desperate way when they become adult.

Seeking worthiness in a desperate way is the real problem of this guy. For Muslim, we will try to get worthiness from our religious practice and working with our subconsciousness healing through changing our wrong belief through reading Quran and praying. Once he can change his belief, he will become more confident and comfortable with himself. Getting a girl is actually derived from a need to be acknowledged by someone that we consider worthy. Thats why in Sufism, we need to restrain our lust to have any close relation to any women, until our belief system is strong and seek approval from ALLAH only. At this level, our need to get approval from any people will become so weak, and we will get much confident inside.

Living in a world like this, we need to improve our independent from people. It is natural to see that people will avoid weak person and gather around the confidence and charismatic ones. By being independent mentally, it will be a good path to reach worthiness inside and thus make that person become stronger and charismatic that can lead into people recognition.

Sadly, these people are the result of a materialistic and capitalistic society devoid of any spiritual or family values. A society morally corrupted to the core.

It is very unfortunate that this young individual due to his frustration and anxiety resorted to murdering 7 people in cold blood yet one can't hold him alone accountable for this incident when the society he grew up in glorifies sex, alcohol, non-stop partying, drugs, degeneracy, etc.
