What's new

American imperialism and ruthlessness masquerading as freedom and democracy.

if someone is coming (celebrities ) or leaving, (may people renouncing US citizens for tax purposes and or US expat community in Middle East). There is always arrangement of their convenience.
Apparently, the US is the only country in the world to tax via citizenship, not residence. So there is a permanent downside to being a US citizen.

Everyone hating on the US but they don't realise any country in their position would've done the same thing to further their national interests.

It's human nature to want to retain power and be selfish, and can be observed throughout history. The American empire is doing what nearly all empires throughout history have done.

The only realistic thing you can do against it is by focusing on your own home so you don't become a victim to it.

Name calling is prominent among Middle Eastern communities too. You should see verbal fisticuffs between Irani and Arabs sometimes 😂.

I once was sat in a hookah bar in London and it all kicked off between this group of women. I definitely recognised the Iranian accents and then came the insults.

“You pompous Iranian bitch, you think that nosejob help? No amount of Botox will fix that face”

Savage 😂
Name calling is prominent among everybody. I see whites immediately jumping on racist labels to insult others whenever they get frustrated. Pretty funny that Harmatia is somehow trying to label it an Asian thing, seems like he’s doing what he typically does, deflecting any criticism of white folks.

I don't think there is any community that doesn't have labels and stereotypes associated with other races tbh.

So basically whenever someone becomes powerful, they become an asshole. Then if that’s a natural phonomenon, it’s also natural to call out the asshole.

So if one day China is bombing innocent kids in Australia, we shouldn’t criticize it because they might have African students freely traveling there for an education. Because that’s the essential argument of the bozo gambit on this thread.

I never said you can't criticise it but it's just a fact that it's human nature.

And indeed China would do similar things to retain it's power too, and also to climb to the top of the hierarchy, or as close as possible to the top.

If one day China has a foreign policy similar to the US then it should absolutely be criticized for it.

Criticism does nothing in the case of the US, would do nothing in the case of China either.

Most realistic and pragmatic steps is to control your own home so it cannot be a victim to foreign powers. Just like China has done quite well 👍🏻

The PDF Chinese often boasted of how many Asian countries were Sinicized in many parts of their cultures despite histories of animosities between China and those countries, and that being Sinicized is a good thing for the peoples of those countries. The PDF Chinese also often said that since China culturally influenced so much of Asia, those countries and peoples might as well be Chinese states.

Yeah obviously. But there are plenty of small countries that are helpless to the whims of imperial powers.

Have to agree with this post. Wish I could give it two likes. Especially the last part, China has come such a long way, I mean just look at China in the 80’s and look at China now.

The growth, development and social mobility has been staggering.

Ok old man, you are getting foggy again.

Who is this PDF Chinese you are referring to? I never said any of that. And none of the other Chinese members argued with you on this thread. So you’re just throwing out blanket statements because “Damn them Chinese!!!!” As usual, right? Fucking dumb boomer.

Facts, you have to admire the Chinese.

But not many nations can replicate their governance model as easily, or even derivatives of it.

I just wish Pakistan had even 50% as effective governance as China. I genuinely think we have about 5% at most. It's a total shit-show.
