Guys, lets establish some facts.

1. The US is the largest economy of the world.

2. It has world leading technology.

3. It is one of the top three exporters in the world.

4. It has a population of 250 (?) million hard working and capable people.

5. It provides a massive market to many countries, without which there will wholesale recession.

6. There are effectively no seperatist movements in the US.

7. It has massive financial holdings and investments all over the world.

Lets balance our views.

If US collapses to where will the Chinese export their goods?

Iran is still going strong due to high oil prices. Let the prices drop to 20-30$ per barrel and we will see.

Look at the history and look at those who play economy professionally there are a hundred of ways.

That is why I keep saying even in worst global recession China never partially collapsed like US. Infact I'll give you the example of Bangladesh which has absolutely no after effects of depression.

8. it is in debt to China with 1 trillion dollars.
9. Saudi State's billions of dollars investment in US pray they don't take it back it is enough to collapse US.
It has already has cross the debt ceiling and going for another round.

It be just like the Great Depression. The world was at peace. I think...

The US is a multiracial, militaristic society like the Soviet Union. It will end the same way: breaking up on racial and political lines.

Long live the Republic of California, Republic of Texas, Republic of Vermont, Kingdom of Hawaii and the Confederate States of America!

One thing you foriegners are incapable of understanding. We will not breakup like the USSR. Unlike old-world countries, we are not cobbled together from seperate nations. Yugo had Croatia, Serbia, etc. USSR had Baltic states, Ukraine etc. China has Tibet, Manchuria etc. We are immigrants, but very mixed, Italians, but sprinkled everywhere, Germans, sprinkled everywhere. This is unique to the new world, and insulates us from the seperatist crap.

Question of breakup in US is far from reality, no matter how hard the time is americans do value life and love for the nation. I am not sure about russians they want bread and butter rest they have no interest.

Doesnt matter what you have if you live beyond your means and that is what americans have been doing for a long time you are going to crash. Let me simplify it. If you earn £100 per week and spend £99 you are happy. If you earn a million but spend 2 miliion you fail.

You americans have been lucky you do not sleep hungry. Wait in due course you will when you go bust and then we will see what happens to your unity.

Anyway juice I hear from my brother aryan_B who is serving a ban! that on another post you agreed that you would be going bust and kipping in our garage/spare room.

If USA collapse like a card house then the whole world will suffer terribly at least for some time then many country will bounce back but the immediate effect will be very severe for country like bangladesh . we export 80 % garments goods to usa which employed about 2.5 million worker any sudden cancellation of order from USA will snatch bread and butter for this people and bring social anarchy to bangladesh and effect the economy .

What about the Latinos in the South ..... Many Anglo Americans in the US fear that one they day might become a majority and Spanish might replace English and thus avenge their earlier territorial losses. Already some people are cringing at the rise of the Spanish programs in the US media.

I have noticed one thing most of the Pakistani members are happy that US could collapse.

Yes, there are many Pakistanis who would like the collapse. And there are many Russians who would like an American collapse. Many Serbs who would like that as well. Many Muslims who would like that. And that is because of the current/past real/imaginary conflicts these entities have/had against America. Do they hate the guts of 'average' Americans? I doubt that the majority does. Aspects of foreign policy, yes. And you will find many Americans do rant about the 'Military Industrial Complex' daily. Also, flip the coin and you will see many many Americans threatening to turn the entire Middle East into nuclear wasteland; just yesterday saw a Comment at Huffington Post related to the Chinook downed: 'We should just nuke Afghanistan.' Reply to that 'And nuke Pakistan as well'. These are some educated bloggers in a 'liberal' blog space!

You Indians don't really care for America in the way you portray in this blogspace. Please don't kid yourselves. You are currently allied with America and so you ride the media-driven narrative to look supportive of America. But even being allied your brothers at Bharat Rakshak still manage to bash America every day for whatever reasons. It would not be very hard for you to join the same anti-America brigade should you perceive your 'national interests' to be threatened by America--much like the above mentioned entities do.

Don't mean crap. Some people just need to overcome racism. We got job applications, signs, audio, and so that involves both Spanish and English. Same for Chinese or Korean language in the states. The people in the states are more integrated compare to other countries that really wants to separate themselves from. Hence why many people emigrate to the U.S. Opportunity and freedom.

Same thing for Muslims.
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/08/03/us/03muslims.html?_r=1&hpw

A decade after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, a Gallup poll released Tuesday found that the vast majority of Muslim Americans say they are loyal to the United States and optimistic about the future, even though they are more likely than other religious groups to say they recently experienced discrimination.

Nine out of 10 Muslim Americans said that their co-religionists in the United States were not sympathetic to Al Qaeda, the group held responsible for the 2001 attacks. Majorities in other religious groups agreed that Muslim Americans did not sympathize with Al Qaeda, but the percentages were much lower.

The poll in many ways contradicts the stereotype of Muslim Americans as an alienated and discontented religious minority. It was conducted by telephone from Feb. 10 to March 11, 2010, and Oct. 1 to 21, 2010, by the Abu Dhabi Gallup Center, a Gallup-affiliated research group based in the United Arab Emirates. The poll, which included interviews with 2,482 adults of whom 475 said they were Muslim, has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus seven percentage points for Muslims.

“It’s not a completely rosy picture,” said Mohamed Younis, senior analyst with the Gallup Center for Muslim Studies in Washington and an author of the study.

“The prejudice and discrimination are definitely there, and that’s something we have consistently seen in the data,” Mr. Younis said. “But at the same time many of the people in the Muslim-American community seem to be doing relatively well, and part of their doing well is being able to be full-fledged Americans, to participate in the American experience.”

The poll found that Muslim Americans were the most likely of any religious group to express confidence in the fairness of elections. The researchers speculated that this might be because of their high levels of support for President Obama, who said early in his term that he would make it a priority to repair relationships with the Muslim world.

Since the terrorist attacks 10 years ago, Muslim Americans have been the target of intense scrutiny by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in counterterrorism investigations. Sixty percent of Muslims said in the survey that they had confidence in the F.B.I. That was fewer than those in other religious groups: about 75 percent of Americans in other religious groups said they had confidence in the F.B.I.

The sphere in which Muslim Americans were most critical of their country is in foreign policy. They are more likely than any other religious group to call the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan a mistake. Muslims also have the lowest level of confidence in the United States military of any faith group (70 percent for Muslims compared with more than 90 percent for all other religious groups, with the exception of atheists, with about 80 percent).

Two-thirds of Muslims who were asked the question said that the reason people in Muslim countries have unfavorable views of the United States was “based mostly on what the U.S. has done” — and not “based mostly on misinformation.”

Among the most intriguing findings: two-thirds of American Muslims say they identify strongly with the United States, about the same percentage as those who say they identify strongly with their religion. But other religious groups identified far more than Muslims with the United States. Protestants, Catholics and Jews said they identified with the United States far more strongly than they identified with their respective faiths.

Almost half of Muslim Americans said that they had experienced religious or racial discrimination in the last year. That was far more than the members of any other religious group. About one-third of Mormons said they had experienced discrimination in the last year, putting them second in that category after Muslims. About one-fifth of Jews, Catholics and Protestants said they had experienced prejudice.

Anyway in response to the thread its only a matter of when not if america will crash collapse and burn:chilli:
