Can there be peace between India and Pakistan without solution to Kashmir dispute?

1) Pakistan totally forgo the issue of Kashmir. India is, and has always been, ready to settle the existing LOC/WB as international border, with some minor geographical adjustments, possibly in favor of Pakistan.
2) Pakistan accept the regional hegemony and dominance of India. Forgoing the Kashmir issue would also, indirectly, imply that.
Accepting any of these conditions and making peace with India also means that we lose any justification for owning a nuclear arsenal.

Yes. In fact, we will loose everything, as a nation. That is why, I ask Pakistanis to come out of this delusion that you can have peace with India, under the current circumstances.

You have to look at it from India's prepective too. They just can't hand over Kashmir to Pakistan.

Let's assume that Pakistan somehow manages to wrestle the whole of Kashmir from India. That will make life hell for the Muslim's of India. The war will just not stop at the liberation of Kashmir. It will continue until one side has completely subdued the other

There are geographic problems actually. Once the border of blood ( Pak-India) is crossed there are nothing but plains to the east.

Kashmir will do just fine for Pakistan and regional balancing.

To start with, it is a very complex issue. Kashmir issue, from the Pakistan's point of view, is fundamentally not a territorial dispute. The dispute is, whether the people of Kashmir have a right of self determination or not. Pakistan says: Yes; India says: No. In fact, in this dispute, both India and Pakistan are secondary parties; primary or principal party is the people of Kashmir. They may opt to be independent. Likewise, keeping in view the principals of partition adopted for Punjab, Bengal and Assam, in 1947, certain significant parts of Kashmir like Jammu and Ladakh may opt to remain with India. Valley may opt to be independent or join Pakistan.

Do you think after losing Kashmir the Hindu majority in India will let any Muslim live their country?

i dont Think the world will let indian government kill 250 Million indians silently.

Kashmir is the road to peace. lasting peace otherwise cosmetics only last one term

How about half a million? That too under various internationaly accepted guises of culling Muslims. That should be enough to start a mass exodus of Indian muslims towards Pakistan, similar to the events of partition

That's what we claim but basically the Kashmir dispute is where we Pakistanis drew the line. India managed to annex the territories of Hyderabad, Junagarh and later Sikkim, Goa and Siachen. We had to take stand that we will not let India illegaly grab any territory in the region just because it can

Not if their life depends on it

Not if their life depends on

technically they will be crossing non muslim Areas to reach pakistan so they wont risk westward route.

They will head east to East Pakistan most probably.

But why is this a Problem for us to discuss?

Because they will most likely look towards us for help and why shouldn't we help them (provided we can)?

logistically impossible scenario. as i said they will have to go east not West for safety
