The truth is always the middle ground. Muslim rulers might not have been the savages that some Indians present them as, but that also means that they weren't the Hindu punishing zealots that some Pakistanis want them to be.
In the end, it works for both Indians and Pakistanis to make them out to be tyrants, since that's the best scenario that allows them to project their insecurities.

You do realize that the whole premise of movies and stories are to propagate what's unlikely and unrealistic right?
If you want the real truth, avoid movies altogether and maybe stick to books. They're not 100% accurate but they are not as dependant on the viewers satisfaction as movies.

Allaudin was a man who introduced remarkable market reforms , price control and agricultural innovations . He was a very great leader of Delhi sultanate . His lust for that woman has no any authentic background, it was written by an author after decades of his death .

I believe he acted the way way he wanted, to suit his needs. That means he did good and bad things. I can accept that this man might not be the monster he was portrayed in the movie. Can you accept that he wasn't the saint he was made out to be either?

Like it or not, Indian movies are popular in Pakistan. There is a severe lack of material from local producers and Indian movies are fill the gap. Just look at how many people in this thread mentioned they will download and watch the movie.

Face it, people would rather watch Captain America beat nazis than watch a movie about how Russian's innovations in sloped armor and cheap production made it possible to outgun the the Germans.

Most people on this forum will try to justify history. My ancestors invaded yours. My ancestors ruled yours. My ancestors were supreme. My ancestors were the first to climb down from the tree. The historical equivalent of 'my dad can beat up your dad'. Sure you can learn from history, be respectful of history, but what have you done to be proud of it other than be born into it? To me it seems a bit like a rich kid sneering at a poor kid.

And what has all these 'great lineages' achieved? A bunch of people who are more similar than they will ever admit, sitting in front of a PC to argue about the merits of a movie, claiming the fictional representation of someone who lived 1000's of years ago wasn't upto their standards.
