Aselsan sar radar payload on duty
Turkey also want to have air to air missiles in latest Bayraktar UAV..In our 3 seas this kind of maritime patrol with unmanned or manned version would not be useful during war time,it canbe a quick target for fighter jets or sam sytems unless its stealth
Jets should come really close to UAV to shoot them as they have very low heat signature and look like a bird in the radar. If UAV has little AESA radar which Turkey plans on UAV, they can shoot back to jets when they are let say within 25 km... the only problem will be what if those jets are above UAVs lets say over 40K attitude? UAVs might have another camera above them in the future or some thermal cameras..I do not think so it will be effective to fighter jets but may be against helicopters
We have ANKA-A/B/S why another MALE UAV?
10+ active ANKA.How many ANKA A and B do we have ?
How many ANKA A and B do we have ?
That is very good bookkeeping, keep it up
ANKA Development project was about 5 prototypes
if i remember corectly , Nr1 and Nr:5 crashed, one of them on stall test so it was normal, other one crashed after acceptence tests cause of israeli mission computer, it was so suspicious they quickly changed the israeli computer. TAI built another one , nr6 to comply original agreement to handover 5 prototypes.
Nr2 was for ground test, never flied, so we cant count it
there were 2 other crash landings but they recovered.
so we have total 29 ANKAs right now. the last board number is 32 , see the tweet.
