I'm utterly clueless about the Neelam region, but I think most of Muzaffarabad district speaks hindko rather than Pahari.

Many speak Koshur as well.

A million Muslims were killed? Do you even know what the population of Kashmir was in 1947? If what you say is correct then there would have been no Muslims left in Kashmir!

And I'm sure there are ways to ensure that such a legal framework is devised to grant GB provincial status so as not to prejudice Pakistan's standing on the Kashmir Issue.

What's missing is the 'will' to do it !

Quite a big contribution actually. Had our forefathers not liberated what is called Azad Kashmir, Indian armoured divisions would be sitting opposite Rawalpindi.....The strategic nature of the region is invaluable and Pakistan wouldn't have been defendable had this region not been with the federation. I'm not even going to go into that 13% of AJK people make up the forces, even though it's the smallest population in Pakistan, that it has the highest literacy rate in the region by a large margin. Other factors such as a patriotic population that has never seen an armed revolt, we have no terrorism in our region or sympathy for them, which can be found everywhere else in Pakistan. What about Mangla dam and other projects that are and will contribute greatly to Pakistan's power generation? AJK's people have borne the brunt of these for the greater good.
I can go on.

And do these ppl ever know how those ppl who have villages along the border, how they face bsf firing and how many ppl from rest of pakistan even know of, off and on border skirmishes started by indian side , ppl think there has been a ceasefire since 89 aggreement etc and now since modi has come things have escalated, yes things have escalated since that butchers appointment but these border skirmishes had never totally stopped in all those years , they were quite there, atleast what i am told. And entire AJk shares border with other side.

I think Pakistan should make GB another independent terror y like Kashmir. And amend constitution for Kashmir and GB rights. It will solve two problems one it will not be merged with Pakistan, So it will not be betraying Kashmiri people and same time both province will get their rights.

But again, it's been some time now. Pakistan & India should forget their ego and work for Kashmiris. It's been too long that they are living without rights.

Maybe this is what India and Pakistan have agreed behind the scenes to ''resolve'' the dispute? I don't think many people trust the siyasadan as far as they can spit. Ghair-Musharaf tried to stab us in the back, so what has changed?

We have Gineral Sharif saying, ''Kashmir is an integral part of Pakistan'' and siyasadan are saying something different. This points to GHQ and politicians have AGREED on this cause of action as nothing happens without the approval of the Army. Good cop - bad cop!
