canopy glass,is it as strong as the airframe of the plane?if yes then why isnt it used to replace parts such as tail and wings to make visibility better.

So where does the myth that the F-15 is limited in speed by its canopy fit in??

Not just the canopy though... Aluminium doesn't fare as well under high temperature as steel or titanium, which are used on the MIG-25 and MIG-31 as well as the SR-71 in great quantities, respectively.

No the composites and alloy used to make airframe of planes are lighter in weight and have more strength, have lower radar reflection, can tolerate higher G forces.

If we will use glass to make wings and tail it will increase the weight of plane and will reduce the strength, TWR.

Is that the name of the Pilots ? A Sergeant ?
I thought only officers were pilots like here in the Pakistani Air Force. Is that true for the USAF ?

Question is , how much of visibility will camera's be able to provide?
Will a projection of the rear quarter on a Pilots HMD cause him to lose focus in the front?

The pilot should be able to select the view he wants .... Rear or below ..... just like the head checks he normally does

There was a USAF Pilot Lt. Ali Jivanjee (Of Pakistani Origin) Who died because when he was simulating combat with his squadron mate the metal line or whatever it is between the F15 Canopy blocked his view few seconds hence F15 collided with other F15 (Both were flying too close). The Pakistani American Pilot died instantly on collision unfortunately but the other pilot survived.

Not easy job to build Bubble canopy.Only US has done it ..even eurofighter has normal canopy like F15.
Re: Golden Canopy it is done to block sun reflection so pilot can get better view of outside I Think

Muradk mentioned that we have few F16's with golden canopy but PAF did not opt for thoose later on because the cost was too high (Thousands of Dollars).
