There is nothing "punjabi" in the wedding photo above, I have seen the "ganguaization" of weddings in Punjab post 1980s, now the grooms wear that ugly sikh/hindu type dresses and women also use hindu type of dresses like gharara/lehnga. When I was a child in 80s, The "Lara" (groom) used to wear boski shalwar qameez with qulla safa or qulla cap and the "vauti" (bride) used to wear "gotay wali laal shalwar qameez". We never had this "rubbish" gangu dresses that I see being worn by brides and grooms in Pakistani Punjab these days. I don't know who the hell has brought and promoted these gangu ugly wedding dresses, turbans and lehnga etc. to Pakistani Punjab, they were NOT part of our local cultures just until 40 years ago.
