About SSG's Weapons

. .
The information about SSG commandos embarassing failure is very true, but not many know of this. Some say that Gen Mushraf is one of those commandos who escaped back to Pakistan. [No authenticity available].

Which failure? Are you suggesting that SSG is the only Special Operations unit (having been around for 54 years) to have suffered failures? Those who have an interest in such things know what actually led to the failure of these missions (against the Indian airfields during the 65 war). You could have placed any other SF outfit and the results would not have been any different. Even the SSG Mission commanders were not sold on the operations but did it because the missions were put up to them as "Essential for the survival of Pakistan". The fact that these guys carried out the missions as they were ordered to do against unbelievable odds is something out of the ordinary. Not a single officer or jawan opted out. The problem is that when when well trained men are asked to carry out operations based on unrealistic expectations, then such results come to fore.

Also Musharraf was not in the SSG during any of the wars. He joined the SSG in 66 and remained in it for 5 years.

Where do you get these information from? Bharat-Rakshak?

And whats the point of quoting the whole article?

Consider the first outing of the SAS in WW2 which was a failure as well.

Disaster happens to strike even the best SF at times but I'm sure that lessons are learnt and mistakes are not repeated.

what are the diffrences in these models AK's any specifications please

These are modern versions typically of 5.45mm calibre made of newer materials etc.

It is alleged that SSG used the AK103 during the LM seige.

.
Can someone give me the Picture of Ak-103,104. Also advantage of these weapons in previous versions?

. . . .
I think SSG is typically trained to use a very wide variety of weapons depending on the area they are operating in so AK 47 just remains one of the many CQB weapons

AK 47 ROCKS!!!! dude you can kick some real A$$ with that baby you never need to clean it its more power than any hand held machine gun and the only wack part is that its not as good to aim with like the m-16 and it has alot of recoil and it works in almost ANY weather. and barely jammes probably only once in a lifetime or never. the thing that a m-16 has that i like is that its easy to aim in the vital ares to finish your enemy quick.
