Was it Jinnah's vision to have an Islamic republic or a separate, independent state for Moslems on the subcontinent?

No doubt there are many people who do not quite appreciate when we talk of Islam. Some of our non-Muslim friends who do not quite appreciate when we talk of Islam.
Gave him the same warning, read post # 77. It only goes to show what kind of views he's holding and who they benefit.

Obviosuly, they are the enemy and they really like the idea of dividing our nations beliefs. :hitwall:
Can't you see that clearly??

What does tanks have to do why anything??? Numbers don't matter when we have the quality. FYI, your secular state also has mad poverty, rape cases(which go mostly free) and killing of their minorities along with the occupation and killing of another lands territory and people.

Still want us to be like them?

Bro, who are you to say I ran off to the US when you yourself are doing our nation a big favor by trying to divide it more??

FYI, I just came here for education, that's all. I will return and flush out people like and not like you.

Actually Pakistan is very bit like India, if not worse. Cases here are just not given enough attention. Are you an expert in how exactly to divide up India? No right? Most Indians here are the same

Half of these "non-Muslim" countries are helping in the killing of millions. We don't care about the rankings, we just care about the people within our territories. And believe me, your bottom 4 Islamic countries are doing very good in maintaining a very healthy and rich environment for their own people, for, isn't that what every country should inspire about?? And not just "scientific capabilities"?

That post made me laugh. One-third of people in Pakistan want to leave the country

A state for Muslims.

No doubt there are many people who do not quite appreciate when we talk of Islam. Some of our non-Muslim friends who do not quite appreciate when we talk of Islam. Islam is not only a set of rituals, traditions, and spiritual doctrines. Islam is a code for every Muslim, which regulates his life and his conduct in all aspects, social, political economic, etc. It is based on highest principles of honour, integrity, fair play and justice for all. Barrister - M A Jinnah ( January 25, 1948 - Addressed the Sindh Bar Association)

Doesn't answers any question. Did Jinnah said that Pakistan is suppose to be a radical Islamic nation? Because it is exactly that.

"I have one underlying principle in mind: the principle of Muslim democracy. It is my belief that our salvation lies in following the golden rules of conduct set for us by our great lawgiver, the Prophet of Islam".
  • In 1948, Address to Sibi Darbar
  • I cannot understand the logic of those who have been deliberately and mischievously propagating that the Constitution of Pakistan will not be based on Islamic Sharia. Islamic principles today are as much applicable to life as they were 1300 years ago.
      • Address to Karachi Bar Association in 25 January 1948
    • Pakistan not only means freedom and independence but Muslim ideology which has to be preserved which has come to us a precious gift and treasure and which we hope, others will share with us.
      • Address to Frontier Muslim Students Federation on 18 June 1945
    • It is extremely difficult to appreciate why our Hindu friends fail to understand the real nature of Islam and Hinduism. They are not religions in the strict sense of the word, but are, in fact, different and distinct social orders, and it is a dream that the Hindus and Muslims can ever evolve a common nationality, and this misconception of one Indian nation has troubles and will lead India to destruction if we fail to revise our notions in time. The Hindus and Muslims belong to two different religious philosophies, social customs, litterateurs. They neither intermarry nor interdine together and, indeed, they belong to two different civilizations which are based mainly on conflicting ideas and conceptions. Their aspect on life and of life are different. It is quite clear that Hindus and Mussalmans (Muslims) derive their inspiration from different sources of history. They have different epics, different heroes, and different episodes. Very often the hero of one is a foe of the other and, likewise, their victories and defeats overlap. To yoke together two such nations under a single state, one as a numerical minority and the other as a majority, must lead to growing discontent and final destruction of any fabric that may be so built for the government of such a state.I would say from the above quotes, he wanted a Islamic Republic.
There goes the OP's first claim in the trash can.

For the last time, I DIDN'T SAID SECULAR LEADS TO ECONOMIC PROSPERITY BUT IT LEADS TO LESS PERVERTED IDIOTS IN A COUNTRY.

Human life is valued if there is SCIENTIFIC DEVELOPMENT.

Otherwise there is no difference between cavemen, animals or pets of a rich fellow.

What part of irrelevant don't you understand? He is talking about Islam as a religion here, genius, not an Islamic Republic.

Fun Fact: Most Pak Army funds are spent on personal luxuries of generals and high-ranking officers.

If it was to be secular, then why separate from India?
And you know what?
Mr.Jinnah sounded as secular as Nehru when he made his speech after getting freedom.....
"you may belong to any state, caste or creed but that has nothing to do with the business of the state".

So yes separation was nothing but a mistake and also what it fetched to was to segregate all the extremists to one side. *We do know that many from India who had gone to Pakistan later returned when they came to know Pakistan was not what it was supposed to be.May be Jinnah's death soon after independence just added to the troubles Pakistan was facing, with half its politicians disillusioned Pakistan soon became a breeding ground for the extremists.

* These 're just some of the examples...
Raja of mahmudabad, right hand man of Jinnah who resigned from Muslim league party and lived in India because he felt his party had done "hara kiri".
Ustad bade Ghulam khan who went to Pakistan during partition and came back.
Josh Malihabadi who famously said "we can not partition urdu" kept going to and fro from India to Pakistan only to realise that he had no nation and no home left after partition.

Actually Pakistan was created because the Muslim League feared that Indian would become a Hindu radical country rather than a secular state

partition was not a mistake... u dont realize, if there was no partition, this subcontinent would have been engulfed in civil war... its better this way..

Mistake for them, not for us. We earned some time for ourselves.
It was said in that context only.
Had the extremists not left India then today India might 've have been carved up into many pieces. And may be today Kashmir would not 've been an issue at all.

If we would have wanted a secular state we would have remained part of India. And his statements are clear what law he wanted in Pakistan but you just like other liberal retards are free to live in denial.

True, 358 Million Muslims in India would have lead to out right genocide by both parties, just like during the partition

Then your English skills are not so developed.
