A Wave of Afghan Surrenders to the Taliban Picks Up Speed

A rapid US withdrawal will lead to a rapid Northern alliance collapse, there will be pocket of resistance here and there and the Northern Alliance will retreat to the North no doubt to continue their guerilla operations in the bosom of Hindu-Khush mountains. Pakistan should enforce a no fly zone to ensure no helis or planes can escape from Kabul to help ensure a long lasting peace.

It would be interesting to see if India will rush troops to prop up the tottering Northern alliance as this is NA's last hope to prevent a decisive defeat. Ashraf Ghani's must be contemplating his future and his escape route. He must have memories of what happened to President Najibullah , the torture and then public hanging after the fall of Kabul, a President who was unceremoniously strung up from a concrete traffic-control post at the gates of the presidential palace as thousands watched.

The Taliban are well practiced in the capture of Kabul as they have done it twice before. They will capture the Presidential Palace and the Ministries of Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs buildings and position their soldiers at key points. Taliban soldiers will search Kabul for the last remnants of the NA loyalists flushing them out for summary execution. The Afghan people will be resigned to forced jubilation and those who resist will be punished. Switching sides and loyalties has no price for them, they have endured so much , almost half century of civil wars and invasions.
This time around they don't have the likes of Ahmad Shah Masood either. All that is left are the nasty dostum type warlords.

To the Pakistanis cheering this, the taliban can and will turn their guns against Pakistan, once this is all over. Why do you think the afghan-taliban continue to support the ttp?

Wouldn’t happen, and I’m sure same with neighboring countries. They want their rule as long they have it that’s all that will matter to them.

BUT one choice that will hurt Pakistan is if it supports and provides a base to US. As long we don’t we should be good.

Lest we forget, the afghan taliban do not recognize the Durand line, and maintain Afghanistan's de facto position that Pakistan occupies Afghan territory.
To your comment
Laugh all you want, but I have history on my side.

Except, they are not. Maybe the BLA, but certainly not the TTP. The current leader of the ttp has close links with the afghan taliban, and to deny it is madness.

Do not insult other people's intelligence, when you have nothing to show for your own.

Oh bhai for a minute lets suppose Talibans are helping ttp in Afghanistan, then who are aiding them in here in pakistan?? They are more enjoying here rather then in Afghanistan now days
And don’t worry about the news as some times we need these news for our own benefits

If that were the case why was our borders so peaceful prior 9/11? Terrorism spiked in Pakistan only after 9/11 once Taliban were defeated and ANA scums were brought in along with their handlers giving India a free rein.
Afghan taliban never supported TTP because unlike Afghan Taliban who were fighting against foreign occupational forces, TTP wasn't and it was created to fight against Pakistan at the behest of India. Completely different agenda. While Pakistan was always accused to support the Haqqanis, TTP was created to punish Pakistan and keep PA occupied on that front.

The surrenders are the work of Taliban Invitation and Guidance Committees

"Taliban Invitation and Guidance Committee". Guidance in what ? In jahaalat and human rights violations ?

The Americans and the rest of the West have abandoned Afghanistan to the Taliban.

India needs to fill the void

We've seen how the Arab Air Forces did while they were trained by Indians, Lol.
This'll be a massacre. 😂

Lol. I'll give it 1 year brother. This mayor of Kabul will run into the mountains and hopefully, Pakistan doesn't allow him to enter the country, need to set an example.
Arabs were trained by Pakistani military and even commanded by a Pakistani general and we saw how they were slaughtered by the houthis.

True. Talibs are just mercenaries fighting to grab power in Afghanistan just like Northern alliance. And RAW can get them to work for them by offering more than what Pakistan does. So there is no need for Pakistani members to be so elated.

They can only operate because we have provided them clandestine support. If they turn on us we can destroy them. Lets see how well they operate without anywhere to hide, any way to smuggle weapons, medication, places for shelter.

For Pakistan these Afghanis fighting each is the only solution. Once either side settles it will start causing problems for us from Afghanistan. If people are under delusion that these talibani fagots have Pakistani interests at their heart then think again. People need to remember than Afghan Taliban also dont recognize durand line which is why Pakistani establishment is also pushing for an inclusive solution. Only taliban at helm of power will be a night mare for entire region. These fanatics only know war and murder so we need to prepare or suffer another wave of terrorists.

They do have support from other regional player i.e. Iran, Russia and to some extent GCC Arabs who have been financing them for a while now. Let not forget Baloch Terrorist's have found themselves a new home in Iran so Taliban finding support from them is not unusual. Irani religious leaders and IRGC consider Pakistan as pro sunni state and often release anti Pakistan statement.

If this is to suggest that Pakistan controls or helps the afghan taliban, you're mistaken.

Whatever influence Pakistan had on the afghan taliban is not as big as it used to be, and it's getting worse by the day. There is a very good reason why Pakistan's military and intelligence having been saying that the US should leave responsibly, and not suddenly.
