U actually misunderstood me,I was not implying that these r great cities, but rather trying to say that we should not depend on the legacy of British and develop our cities as much as we can.

Gotcha. I guess they are finally making an effort but it is reactive rather than being proactive. It is too little, too late. Let's hope for the best.

You haven't been on this forum long have you?

I dont want to spend my precious time reading threads which in itself is BS and the posters discussing something not remotely related to the purpose with which the thread was started in first place.

Why dont u guyz/gals stop the nonsensical posts in this thread ?

.
Seems Mumbai and Delhi r not that behind of ur premier cities,in turn ahead of many cities

LOL!

Look at the GDP per capita of Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing... and compare them with the GDP per capita of Delhi and Mumbai.

What you're doing, is squeezing a ridiculous amount of people into those cities, which means that there is a huge difference in population. You are trying to frame your argument in such a way that allows you to make something of a comparison. So you're trying to be clever, but failing.

We've all seen what Shanghai and Hong Kong look like, and we've all seen what Mumbai and Delhi look like.

I guess you will finally realize why your neighbours (China/Pakistan/Sri Lanka/Nepal/Bangladesh) don't like it when Indians lecture them. Throwing stones in a glass house.

Try a actual defense related thread. They might be slightly better. Don't get your hopes up though.

:blah::blah::blah:

Why always compare just GDP per capita because that speak in ur favour, selective filtering to appese ur personal intention's,in thet case Luxumberg and geneva have double the GDP of ur cities,so that make those nation's much greater, bigger and powerful than ur nation, just like i told before u can cry allday when something is not in ur favour.

We're talking cities here, not countries.

As for selective filtering you do exactly the same thing by choosing to look at nominal only when it serves your purpose.

The difference is, that I will always readily admit that China is NOT a "developed" country. In fact I have always said that I do not want China to be a "superpower", EVER. Whether in ten years, fifty years or even a hundred years from now.

But it is annoying to have "developing countries" like India, who are FAR more worse off, to lecture us on democracy.

Especially when I'm living in a "non-democratic" place like Hong Kong, and having Indians trying to lecture me on democracy.

who tried to lecture here u on democracy,if u like to live in a communist state that ur choice,we have no problem in it

Such statements appear when some of ur compatriots try to act smart trying to make fun of democracy, given more nation's had accepted democracy as the governance model rather than communism, and u people not used to democacy,it also irks as when u people arrive with ur expert comments about democracy.

I live in a democracy and I can say it is great. But thats because its American democracy that works well. I don't know much about Indian democracy but from the way India is today it is not something to be admired.

.
You were talking about how because those countries have higher GDP per capita they should be more powerful then China.

first of all I was not talking about countries, have a proper google search about Geneva and Luxumberg(the capital),What u r talking is not the fact I was implying but rather ur friend CD,according to him greater GDP per capita means more influential and more forward,I just posted some sities for a challege,it seems u have a comprehension problem.

Now CD,watch this space, this is reason u get to read some awkward comments about communism, this guy admits he dont know anything about India and its system yet he presumed many things.think twice next time before blaming us.
