Nowhere in the world does an alien government deal direct with the people rather than with the government of a neighbouring or of another country. It is for Bangladesh to monitor its own ecological security; India does so, very effectively, by ensuring ecological clearance. What is it that you expect us to? To run a plebiscite in Bangladesh every time the two governments come to a point of agreement? Or invite the BNP to the discussions and effectively convert the government to a national coalition government?
