The situation was very critical. If any top general pass any kind of statement that was hurting American people, US made make each and every war via Media (I think you atleast know the media game of US Govts). Afghanistan sldiers should take jungle warfare training from Indian maoists.They will give much better training than the Indian army coz these are the guys who have made the life of indian security forces hell in in the jungles of red corridor that they now find J& K much easy posting than the red corridor.

how does jungle warfare suit Afghan troops when there's hardly any jungle in that country save for a few in Pakhtia, Khost and Laghman climate (and even those are unfortunately being systematically destroyed for quick profit)


they need help in urban insurgency warfare and i think on rapid reaction stuff -- the indians are quite abysmal (e.g. as we saw during the mumbai fiasco)


but nevertheless, ANA needs whatever training it can get, given defections and given lack of discipline.....i guess this was an offer they couldnt refuse.
