we do have H-4 as a BVR..........its r own program!!! and better than AMRAAM

it is not not better then AMRAAM coxe it is not like an AMRAAM,,
brother H2 and H4 are not BVRAAM missiles, they are penetration bombs used to destroy bunkers and runway. there range is of 60 and 100Km so are called BVR ie beyond visual range but as this term is usually used to shorten the original BVRAAM so many people confuse it with air to air missiles,

Aren't you missing the main point?
Those 500 AMRAAMs are meant for around 60 F16s only, but the least number of MMRCA will be 126 and if you keep in mind that F16IN, F18SH, Gripen NG, EF and even the Rafale can use the same AMRAAM, what do you think how many AMRAAMs IAF will get?
So the missile alone won't be an answer to MMRCA, only more aircrafts that can use it, or more capable aircrafts like J10B can be it.

currently IAF have les BVR per plane then PAF, it was stated adn discussed in a report posted on this forum so if you really are intrested in the news beter check it on net. i will do the same and post it if i get it!
however agre that this problem will be overcomed once the MMRCA and its weapon deals will be finalized!
