Geo TV says another PIA pilot, fired for having fake degree, was the one who flew ex-Army Dictator Musharraf's plane and one of the fired Pilot of PIA for fake degree identified as Capt Faheem, flying PIA planes for 28 yrs.
It's look like our pilots are also trained in a way truck drivers are trained.

PIA pilots need licence not degree...
you accumulate flying hours and then appear for exams...no degrees are involved here

PIA was once top 3 and since like every sector, corruption took over.
Good to see this happen. A person cheated for 28 years? Take away pension and benefits too. You cannot learn at controllers of a Flight Simulator in PC or Playstation, can you? He had put lives of thousands of passengers at risk in his initial flights.

ISLAMABAD: Six pilots of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) have been sacked for holding fake degrees, while five hundreds others airline staffers are also found to have bogus credentials.
Captain Fahim and Captain Arshad, who have flown the airplanes of various prime ministers and presidents, are also among the sacked pilots.
The academic qualification for cadet pilot in PIA is Inter. The sacked pilots had submitted their fake certificates of Matric and Inter.
Captain Fahim and Captain Arshad had been discharging their duties in PIA for 18 year. The other sacked pilots included Captain Zaib, Captain Shayan, Captain Asmat and Captain Shahid Mannan.
According to the airline sources, more than 500 staffers are also found to have fake credentials. The sources said that no action have been taken against them on the pressure of CBA workers union Peoples Unity.

People are celebrating that the airline that is over staffed cause of 1000s of retired Army personal and political appointees that have no qualification has fired 3 Pilots that have been flying for years.
Yet no one is questioning this
The Secretary of Defense Lieutenant General (r) Asif Yasin Malik an army appointee himself has no degree or diplomas in business plus no business back ground of any sort is running PIA.

One government comes and fires all these useless personnel who are just sitting at home and doing nothing, except for getting salaries, bonuses and benefits. The next government re-employs all of them giving them the salaries, benefits and bonuses they missed during previous government's era! That is what Zardari did! One of the biggest reason for failure in PIA.
