3 of 4 Mossad spies killed in shootout east of Tehran on Mostafa Khomeini Blvd, Damavand

.
Maybe a mod should change the thread title, since it seems that no MOSSAD agents were hurt during this daring and heroic operation.

In other news, an IRGC commander has been liquidated in Syria.

I can understand Kish Island as I'm not sure if they any military facilities there and the entire island has always been shown as one large resort area considered "the most laid back place in all of Iran" from its ambience and it used to be a free trade zone and probably still is. I think the other islands are a bit more fortified and might need to be a little more restrictive. Visa on arrival is a very bad idea for the mainland. It should at least change to be visa on arrival for the islands and much more restrictive measures for entry into mainland and certainly no visa on arrival. Special exceptions can be given in certain situations but things need to be more tighter than this.
It will be some time before the scenes of peaceful people bearing gifts depicted in Persepolis comes true but in the meantime, there are many ahrimans who need to be screened more effectively before entering certain places, even certain cities.

It literally went from him being dragged and shot at point blank to ensure death to hm stepping out to have a looksy at the sounds of mayhem and carnage and his security guards didn't scream "get down or back in the car" or even restrain him from getting out of the car.
Unless he was driving his own car and was just having a "security" escort in front and behind him and nothing else?
I heard he had a previous attempt on him so he certainly would not want to step out of the vehicle amidst sounds of explosions and gunfire this time.

I have to say the scene of him being dragged out of the car and shot dead at point blank range possibly making eye contact with the dirty viruses like something out a movie is very chilling to me and might be the reason the narrative changed to him stepping out his car and being shot. Because him being dragged out would be both chilling and very enraging at the same time and the demands for a bloody revenge would be greater than him stepping out of the car on his own accord.
Maybe team zarif 2021 is intervening in the news narrative and trying to soften what the gruesome sight would have looked like as it unfolded so to soften everything in people's minds?

Look at the blood stains on the road. He was dragged out and executed.

This has been a disastrous event for the Iranian security apparatus. There are many collaborators working within it, I am sure.

Well, Iran is facing two of the most powerful intel agencies in the world CIA and MOSSAD. Iran alone can not do much... it needs also some back up or help from some muslim countries but all are in bed with Israel.

I’m sure apologists such as @Philosopher will say this attack also shows “Israel’s weakness”.

Such emotional and hot-headed mindsets have no place in geopolitics. My comments on these topics are based on the observation of the realities on the ground and not necessarily my own personal wishes of what should be done. Now whether you choose to ignore them or not is your prerogative. It is plainly obvious that an attempt is being made to drag Iran into a quagmire in these dying moments of the Trump administration. People are upset at the sight that the enemy is attacking Iran without the fear of retaliation. But many people are missing the plain fact that these attacks are being done precisely to cause a retaliation by Iran.

You should have asked yourself why these baits are being placed before Iran at this moment? I am not at all surprised that indeed the enemies of Iran have the capability to undergo such an attack, however what do you believe these attacks are gaining them? These terroristic acts by the enemies show they understand that they lack the ability to do what is would really be necessary to stop Iran's progress.
This is where my statement that these attacks are highlighting their desperation is coming from. These sporadic attacks are not even putting a dent into Iran's overall plans. The enemy is very worried about what may happen should the Biden administration rejoin the JCPOA. The reasons for that is obvious and you do not have to take my word for it, but listen to the Israelis themselves.

Iran has chosen to not respond rashly. It has nothing to gain by responding heavily at this moment in time. The path that Iran is on makes it inevitable that its enemies will try whatever they can to hinder it. Every-time Iran takes a hit, you should not develop a desire for an emotional knee jerk response. I advised you few days ago that if you get personally frustrated by these geopolitical realities, then avoid them to prevent increasing your blood pressure.

If someone gave you all of Iran's supreme leader's power today, you may make some rash changes, but if you were also given his insight and knowledge too, you would keep things the way they are.

.
Looks like becoming a nuclear power by iran is just a wet dream for quite a time.
Doesn't not matter how good your scientists are ( which we all doubt under the mullah Islamic regime) if you cannot guard your state secrets, top scientists and nuclear reactors then you are destined to fail.

Oh please, there were plenty of decisive actions taken by Iran just in the last few years alone. However, it is true that most of those responses were made against the US in comparison to Israel.

Now that you say you're responsible for the murder of a prominent figure in Iran's nuclear program, I too anticipate a proper and firm response ahead of us...
As firm of a response the Iranians made against the Americans when they killed Soleimani?
So terrifying.

You make zero sense. These assassinations started under Obama when the goal was not to cause Iran to retaliate. They have been going on since 2010 in Iran, Syria, Yemen, Iraq. There are some you don’t hear about like high ranking member of cyber warfare division being found in a ditch with a bullet in his head.

I doubt keyboard warriors like you know what happens on the ground. You only hear what leaks.

You're lacking context, we're talking about what is happening right now, not what assassinations mean per se. Generally speaking, they assassinate as part of their campaign to try and slow down Iran's programs, however, in the time and context of these ratcheting up of attacks you're seeing, it's all about trying to turn up the heat for when Biden gets in office by getting Iran to do something rash in order to minimise any form of deal. This is not not an esoteric knowledge, if you were following the tone coming out of the Americans and Israelis for the last few weeks alone, you could have predicted there would be some sort of event to come.

Moreover, I am above addressing comment such as being offered to as a "key-board warrior". My patience in dealing with your misgivings is only because I understand the nationalistic mindset of many Iranians and their obvious anger in the recent issue. What I am trying to get across to you is that this way of thinking has no place when deciding what our next move should be. And finally, to reiterate, I am merely giving you the observations on the ground regarding Iran's behaviour. No matter how frustrated we act, it will not change the matter. Just accept how these situations are playing out.

Nothing to do with weakness on the part of Iran. Iran is strong and firm, not weak and soft. These assassinations are signs of weakness and insecurity of Isreal and USA in the need to do this. trump is supposedly leaving - weakness of Washington and nazi zionists.

The whole order of Western World is post-WWI, not post-WWII. WWII was about finishing the job of WWI goals. US, UK, Russia and others are still fighting WWI.

Palestine was the payment of the UK to zionists for US involvement in WWI.

Each country has a Entente backer, or else is considered rogue if not subject to an Entente power. Turkey is backed by the UK and freemasons. Greece is backed by France. Lebanon is not considered free by Washington and London, they are French territory. This is how losers see the world. China is a Rothschild project. Japan was a British project with the Anglo-Japanese Alliance. Then the US had the UK ditch that alliance, and Japan sought to be an empire. After WWII, Japan is a Rockefeller project - with the Trilateral commission. These losers are pissed that Iran is free and barely backed by zionist/nazi Russia "under putin". Because they are loser bullies, they murder and murder to bully and make free countries and people think they are less than other countries not being picked on. It is because Iran is strong is why they hate Iran, if Iran was a satellite of the UK like UAE and a flab of weakness, then there would not be any assassinations.

This man is saying that Iran is trying to be goated into conflict in order to prevent Biden from reaching a deal with Iran.

This right here is the exact problem, this man is promoting the good cop bad cop routine of the United States.

Many of you know the famous picture of the Ottoman holding a piece of bread over the heads of starving skeleton Armenians.

This is where Iran is right now, the US is dangling bread that is Iran’s right yet acting as if it is some sort of GIFT. Returning to the nuclear deal is a MISTAKE to get a TEMPORARY PIECE OF BREAD. Bread that can be taken away at any time for lack obedience.

Do not fall for this trick nor listen to apologists like this man that are saying Iran should hold back in hopes Biden comes and throws Iran some crumbs.

Remeber Iran hate is bi-Partisian in Washington. Remember that Obama (a democrat and Biden’s boss) sanctioned and kick iran out of the world economy. Not bush not trump. This hate will never leave so long as Israel and Iran are not friends.

US is a master of negotiation they give Iran some pieces of bread (oil waivers and gas waivers and some sanctions relief) and in return will demand (missile reduction, permanent nuclear restrictions, et ) while terror and human rights sanctions remain.

See what they did? They made something that was your right prior to 2008 seem like a gift. you are literally negotiating to be where you were in 2008. You didn’t win anything and at any time that gift (bread) can be taken away.

Ask yourself what is the endgame for the Republic? Do they even have? Does @Philosopher even have one?

Yes his endgame is negotiating with Washington. Like Zarif they talk with a silver tongue, but in the end like Qajer dynasty they give away everything just to keep breathing.

It’s been 20 years and Iran has less economic leverage than in 2003.

Friends, this perpetual cycle of negotiation with the West does not work. Don’t forget under JCPOA iran was suffering and not getting its full benefits. That was true intention of west. Give bread crumbs and tell you to be happy. Meanwhile Iran lost Arak reactor (biggest dangerous to Israel/West) and was neutered in other areas of nuclear program. The loss of Arak was the single biggest mistake in the history of the republic and it was negotiated by CIA double agents like Salehi.

Ask any nuclear expert and they will tell you Natanz was the least of US concerns. The real concern was Arak and its ability to give Iran 2 pathways to a bomb (uranium versus plutonium) almost all nuclear weapons developed by countries for first time are plutonium based. The West got Iran to negotiate away 6-7 plutonium bombs PER YEAR for what? To be able to export oil...oil it was exporting freely PRIOR to Obama sanctions.

You see the art of negotiation? Now 8 years later...Iran is negotiating AGAIN to get right to sell oil. How sad my friends. How truly sad.

This is where the Republic is...negotiating away its last spears in order to eat Tommorrow. With those like Zarif and Rouhani and the Republic factions eager to stuff their pockets. Remember when Rouhani led negotiations in 2003 with United Ststes he begged US for a deal that would leave Iran with 300 just 300 centrifuges!!!. Bush was too dumb to take up Rouhani on that offer. There has never been a kinder ruler to Iran than Bush. The benefits that Bush gave Iran is greater than what Rafsanjani, Khatami, Ahmadinejad, and Rouhani did COMBINED.

Only one solution folks: Go nuclear and do not negotiate until Israel denuclearizes and full removal of sanctions.

This should have been done after Solemani assaination, but these factions in the Republic care more about money and power within their borders than restoring this nation to its rightful place.

It’s not too late, do not negotiate. It will not end well. There is no leverage to negotiate from. Less leverage than 2008. You are not negotiating from position of power, but from your knees. The warning has been given. Do not listen to the apologists.

If Iran is going to be killed, then as nation stand with its head tall as they put the blade under its throat. Do not spend your days struggling to survive only to die on your knees in the end.

If you type in Zand Kermani then sort by date, it should be the first video

These people don't seem to be very serious, brother. One can't pretend that the man to whom sardar Soleimani was practically as dear as a son, would in any shape or form have made possible or been even indirectly responsible for his assassination. The two were very close. All of us witnessed the Leader's genuine grief at sardar's funeral ceremony in Tehran.

Apparently the cited Youtubers have issues with Iran's official religion, yet glorify martyrs like Fakhrizadeh and Soleimani... However both Dr. Fakhrizadeh and Haj Qasem are devout Muslims and extremely religious people, in addition to being totally loyal to the Supreme Leader. So let's not take these sort of Youtubers all too seriously.

Besides, look how they talk... If that's their idea of Iranian culture, then they are in no position to lecture people as to who is Iranian and who isn't, or who is patriotic and who isn't.

I believe not long ago, the author of this post himself was welcoming negotiations. Furthermore he seems to be ignoring that many Iranian politicians and parties completely oppose renewed negotiations with Biden. Instead he prefers to lump them together with liberals like Zarif and Rohani under the topic "corrupt Republic where all faction are only interested in filling their pockets, not about restoring Iran to its deserved place" - incidentally obfuscating the fact that with the sole exception of Nader Shah's brief rule, Iran has never been as self-sufficient, as powerful and as influential beyond its borders in over 400 years compared to what it is today under the Islamic Republic. Thence the analogy with the Qajar dynasty is of course fundamentally misplaced.

The comment essentially appears to pursue the goal of turning readers against the Islamic Republic as a whole, under patriotic pretexts. As if having people lose faith in the state and becoming hopeless and demoralized, especially in critical time periods like these, will contribute to "restoring Iran to its rightful place"...

Now I have made abundantly clear my own staunch opposition to any further negotiations, let alone additional concessions, and I have not been flip-flopping on my positions to take advantage of the circumstances and daily moods of readers in order to advance a given agenda. But rejecting renewed negotiations doesn't mean one can simplistically paint all factions and institutions within Islamic Republic with the same brush and suggest that they're all "uninterested" in geostrategic prowess (it's an Islamic Republic by the way, not simply a Republic). Considering what Islamic Iran has achieved in this regard, and particularly over the past twenty years, any such claim would actually be preposterous.

Therefore what matters now in the short term is that people vote liberals out of office at the upcoming presidential election. This is an absolute necessity and nobody should let themselves be discouraged by inaccurate portrayals made by oppositionists eager to delegitimize the IR as a whole in the eyes of patriotically minded Iranians. No excuses.

Also the notion that nuclear weapons are the only solution is flawed. I can almost distinctly remember how the very same user who is making this claim now, at one point was arguing that nuclear weapons would be of little use for Iran considering the enemies it is facing. I must have a screenshot of it somewhere, and if so then I will not hesitate to pull it out if required. Probably the author of the above quoted comments noticed how the idea that Iran must arm itself with nuclear weapons gained traction as of late with some forum users, as well as how certain other users are using the topic as a vehicle to serve their goal of questioning the Supreme Leader, given the latter's fatwa on WMD. Here too, the quoted user appears to adapt to the prevailing mood, this time in order to promote mistrust vis a vis Iran's Leadership in particular.

In short, we know the dangers of the JCPOA already. But in order to counter them effectively, the constructive thing individual Iranian citizens at their own level can do is to vote the liberals out. Sitting still and joining the "regime change" crowd in permanent lamentation about how "everything about the IR" is supposedly "terrible" is not going to help one bit; nor is it going to be of any help to let one's emotions be exploited in such a manner as to blind oneself to the Islamic Republic's many spectacular achievements (both in terms of development and of geostrategic power and deterrence), as well as to the fact that "everything" is very far from "lost". On the contrary, the only ones to benefit from such mindsets will be Iran's enemies.
