3 martyred while thwarting cross border terrorist attack from Afghanistan at Kharsin Sector

.
What happened to the so called border fence which we have been wasting our funds for the last 5 years or so.

I hope our newly acquired armed drones are already up in the sky for hunting.

Major Shahid Basheer embraced Shahadat.

I think he was taken out in Balochistan yesterday in a separate incident.

The fence on Duran Line is good initiative but it is of wrong type because bullets can pass through it. They should have built a concrete 3/4 meter high wall as Israel has build around Gaza/WestBank. PA can still build concreate wall on high risk areas. But it would still not prevent rockets or RPG attacks and specially where enemy is on upper land areas. . So they need long range surveillance beyond the the border as well VTOL attack drones in every forts to launch attack beyond the wall.

Near a 100 people attacking a single checkpost, this has got to be a cause for concern now for our military establishment.

The IEA has proven to have failed in containing TTP, and their neutrality in this case is proving to be detrimental to us, while we keep sending food trucks and aid their way.

Things have got to change.

We of course cannot afford to have aerial assets such as drones in the air 24/7, nor can we have thermal imaging systems across the border. A hard stance has to come from our side now.
Why cant we afford cheaper turkish drones with very low cost of operation
Its not a fighter jet
May be we cam get DJI mavic with thermal lens that can petrol key bases for 30 mins on a charge:what::what::what:

My bet
Talibans are using drones more then we are

A concrete wall just by itself won't be any good stopping skyhigh terries. Although we have forts where we needed but reactive strategy will mean we keep loosing our men.We may plug 10 gaps but a certain 11th would still remain no matter how hard we try to be defensive. The solution is either to have quick reaction hot pursuit forces on stand by who can hunt down the terries before they disappear in caves and ravines across the border and/or have deep assets who can flag potential  terry concentration efforts before any attack and buy us time to prepare for overkill defense.

This is not the solution. The fence serves a different purpose. The fence is meant to tell the Americans, Europeans, Indians and especially Afghans that this is our territory. It is a territorial marker.

The real solution to cross border terror has been discussed to death. Bajwa is a loser. He has failed as COAS. Not only does he overthrow a legitimate government with help of PDM and the Americans. He is also inept when it comes to his actual job. The Pakistani army continues to suffer losses under his command. He has done nothing for the security of frontline soldiers. Basic protection isn't available for these soldiers. Let alone more advanced gear.

Don’t be so hard on yourself.

How is that being hard on myself? It is your COAS. Not mine.

. .
Mine the border and carpet bomb the surrounding areas. Our soldiers are nit meant to be Canon fodder, what use is spending billions on defense spending when we can't even protect our territorial integrity.

Still remember so many Pakistanis were celebrating with joy on Twitter and this forum when Taliban regain control of afghanistan, Just 6-7 moths back.

Do you blame them, it was hopium. Thinking there would be stability and decency in Afg. The border is still hot.

Not only has Afg caused Pakistan to lose its reputation with the west and the trade deals that come with it, they are still dealing with Afghan militants attacking them.

Can you believe they did a global fund raiser for the Taliban and wasted precious political capital to give them legitimacy and look at the returns.

TTP and IEA need to be given a deadline and if they don't adhere to it then Pakistan needs to declare war and end this once and for all. Winner takes all.

F**k CPEC, divert funds to the war chest. Will need $15 billion to make this happen.
