Instead of playing this god awful 20 year long strategic game trying to install a pro Pakistani goverment in Afghanistan which has literally bled us dry, our army should have just taken over the Wakhan corridor and used that as a bargaining chip with Afghanistan;

Afghans don't have a monopoly on abusing children. Our brothers in Kasur seem to have that covered pretty well. Don't make generalizations like that.

True but we don't have a bacha baazi culture like them. Good and bad is everywhere but in afghans that thing is quite common. 9/10 afghans in pakistan are doing something illegal.

There are many of us in Pakistan also who have a favorable view of Afghans and other Muslim brothers. Imran Khan, his PTI, and the Pakistan military has done much to promote good relations with Afghanistan.

We need a few more terms for Imran Khan and PTI to fix the bad blood between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Taliban government and its pro-Pakistan stance will also be very important in changing perspectives on both sides.

In sha Allah, I am praying for the day when Afghanistan and Pakistan can unite our foreign policies, and then put India and Iran on the defensive.

Imran and also the present generals of Pakistan are from that generation who were fostered by Zia, they were the next generation. The 20 and 30 year olds who will take over Pakistan next will perhaps be the ones who utter "Ummah Chummah", god forbid.

From a philosophical perspective, life is full of problems, its easy to pin the blame onto others; After all we Afghans are professionals at that and have PHD's in that department; We invited the Soviets, we had warlords who killed their own people, and we are the ones who brought America into Afghanistan, and yet we blame Pakistan. It's very difficult to look at oneself and solve the problems inherent within, but much easier to point fingers at others. This tragedy is not limited to us, it is also applicable to others as well, this is not to say that there isn't truth in accusations and finger-pointing, perhaps there is, but to lay the blame completely onto others is something I leave to the best judgement of those who are wise.

From a realistic perspective however, many Afghans in Pakistan I am sure do want to return home back to Afghanistan, except for a few who've been educated there and known no other country but Pakistan, my cousins being one of them. This repatriation can be done within the next 5-10 years should everything go smoothly once US leaves and the peace process is finished in Afghanistan. All I can say is InshAllah most of the Afghans in Pakistan are repatriated once USA leaves and the condition of both the peoples in Pakistan and Afghanistan improves for the better. All we can do is move towards that direction and InshAllah we are successful.

It is not. We have cooperated since prehistory, pre-Islamic era, and Islamic times. We lived as one nation under so many empires. Afghanistan and Pakistan are one nation, and we will merge together in the future.

The natural equilibrium of the region is shifting back towards this. Naysayers will be the foremost in promoting the expansion and strengthening of the Pakistani and Afghan people in the future.

This is merely the natural sequence of events. Kismat cannot be fought against.
