27th September- Super moon lunar eclipse!!!

This is how it looks from my parking area.... The moon is just about 5-10% larger.

it is brighter but there is no redness.

How about India??

all clouded up... can't see the moon at all.

There is not much difference in the size of Moon at its closest and the furthest, at least to me in the vast sky there is not much difference, so I am assuming it would be a pretty good lunar eclipse but people should not be expecting much more.

I saw the moon ....first the red one...then faded to orange one and then it turned off white....slowly. Also seen by my family. The cloud was clear in Odisha. So next one in 2033?..Ok, I will see it for I will die in 2037.

The lunar eclipse is supposed to start sometime close to 5 am in the morning in India on monday. I guess you just saw the moon at the closest and not eclipse. Supermoon happens a lot often so you will be seeing it multiple times before 2033.

You're lucky to have seen the supermoon while still red.

People People.. Please stop. So many people are interpreting so many things wrong here.
First of all. The eclipse starts in the morning in India and Pakistan. Starts at approx 5:41 am and peaks at 6:15 am. Not much would be visible.
Second the red moon thing has nothing to do with the eclipse. It is an almost daily event that happens when you see moon when it is low in the sky.
Lastly, the image that Levina posted marks the areas where Penumbra and Umbra part of shadows would be visible. India is on the edge of penumbral region. so a light shadow would be visible in the morning, if any.

Because of the scattering of light by atmosphere.
