250MW deal not signed: BD says "NO" to India's unilateral conditions

Lol. Well aren't you the one always stating your "army seniority", "30+ years of experience" and "all military personnel on earth were my students" sort of stuff in lieu of good counter arguments?

Reminds us of the 10 year old indian kid who supposedly was pursuing MBA in Harvard. His cover was blown so bad by us and the resident Chinese forumers (he was also an object of ridicule for indians themselves) that he never came back. You're heading the same path.

Did you read the names of Bangaldeshi Officers who were my students?

And did you read where they were my students?

Did you read some incidents that I narrated to include that they used to come home for meals?

Did you go and ask them as to which Bengali officer's house they used to go for meals?

Now, you had the names of the BD officers, the course they were doing, which Indian military institution they were doing the course at and the various incidents to include the regular meals.

Therefore, you could have checked and not go on a wild goose chase.

In an alien surroundings with alien food, one would hardly expect anyone to forget having meals that were near similar to what one is used to in one's own country! Therefore, they would not have forgotten it in a jiffy.

More so, when I was appointed as mentor instructor to some of them!

I will be 'exposed' by you? That is rich! This is the typical false machismo that you all are famed for!

And to add insult to injury, they threaten!!

Brave indeed!

Good luck to you.

See that you are not embarrassed and proved to be a fool!

Just the type of self assumed knowall attitude of many BD posters that rankles and then when they are shown their place, they whine and kick and flay around with false hurt pride!

.
To summarize the deal.

1) India will unilaterally fix the rate. BD has to accept that.
2) BD has to pay for the full capctity regardless BD uses the power or not.
3) BD has to pay for the full capacity regardless India able to supply the same or not.
4) India verbally said it will provide the power for the rate it sells to its own states. But the deal skipped that important commitment.

Deal of the century, Indian Style of course...

If what you are saying,is correct, then I must say,the terms are somewhat unfair.Find the comments on the respective points

1.Cost should be negotiated.
2.There should be no problem in paying for full capacity. Its difficult or rather impossible for a power plant to increase or decrease power output on the basis of daily consumption. You just cannot store the extra power. So a decreased production in spite of a higher capacity is a loss in terms of resources.
3.An idiotic idea.No one in his sane mind should ask to pay for what is not delivered.
4.This factor depends more upon market condition, exchange rates. There is a reason that the commitment, even if there was any,was not on an agreement paper.I don't accept any agreement until and unless that is in the form of a legally bounding paper.

I have no interest in religion or culture (in fact, there is shared culture and so the question does not arise) to make an issue of.

You could do well to have read the posts of various members of the BD group to realise that where the ridiculing of religion starts. And if one gives it back, then the matim from you all commences! Charity begins at home, in case you did not know.

It is immaterial as to what is your opinion of my intellect is or whether I am a 'lightweight' for the simple reason that you are not quipped to comprehend the same and not that it bothers me in the least.

I do make it a point to visit forums to understand the 'thoughts' of not only of my compatriots, but also of those who are foreigners. I do it since such views are important in my line of work as, should I say, a 'commentator' on issues. I daresay you will understand the same and so I will not broach on that issue. Understanding international opinion is a part of what I do know and so, while it may appear to you that I have time on my hand, actually, this is a part of my present occupation and hence I am constrained to spend time here and elsewhere so that I can have a 'rounded' view of issues and not get a partisan view and push it as the Gospel Truth.

You cannot find links to my posts since you do not want to find the links because it does not quite conform to your ideas. That is natural. While you find me an 'intellectual lightweight', may I return the compliment in greater measure, in that you are incapable of being even an 'intellectual lightweight' since you find my posts beyond your comprehension.

As far as 'low caste' is concerned, the major source was a youtube link provided by one of the more virulent BD poster who to deride India and the Hindu caste system appended the same. It was a village meeting that was being addressed by the Water Resources Secretary during the Mujib era, who had come to India for discussion along with Mujib.

Spare me your homilies and pious platitudes!

Even the post you refer to has its relevance and hardly irrelevant given the post to which the answer was designed for.

Each point raised was from some posts or the other by BD posters!

Further on descent etc, why blame me. It is mentioned so proudly by most BD posters and then they confuse others as to why are they not proud to be what they are. And the the confusion get aggrandised with other threads like the one currently on Arabisation!

In Pakistan, they are finding their own identity and yet BD clings to the Arab descent concept with scant regard for being what they are - namely Bangladeshi.

Your baseless, poorly referenced, pro indian backed data is not worth an argument and many members in this forum will agree, other than your usual sheep who are ill informed about the reality. I can use Arundhati Roy's arguments and claim its written by an Indian writer but that will not add more credibility to my argument, although she is internationally known for her activistism. Without rhetoric and mischievous under pinning of other people, you arguments lack serious basis. Your delusional little world, gives you mind orgasms about achievements you haven't still made. Your arrogance can be well understood and determination to reject constant facts is reflective of your preset minded indoctrinated through years in the army and off course the old age which is foreign and hostile to new ideas. You are indeed a patriot meaning what a wise man once said "Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel".
In almost all your posts, you try to intimidate arguments by referring to culture and religion as the root problem. You talk about credible sources but all you can do is use google it and use wikipedia. You choose a side and look for arguments instead of the other. Your inferiority complex which you expose by taking insulting and humiliating others to make yourself feel better is very shameful given you are an army personal and off old age, whom a nation is to admire and respect. Your self claimed suggestion that you are intellectually superior than me is a product of your hallucination, old man.

How droll!

Indian biased!

Old man? Maybe compared to those who claim they are in the process of exiting the womb like a Paratrooper!

I don't argue, I debate. You maybe of the argumentative variety, if you will. Each of my points are substantial, for if they were not, you would have swooped down like a hungry hawk. You have not been able to demolish any of my point and instead are merely raving and frothing at the bit out of sheer incompetent helplessness.

I am the least indoctrinated person since I believe one must express their views, though rants require to be gently demolished lest those ranting start getting indoctrinated in their regurgitation and die in the mush they exude.

Patriot I am and I make no apologies for it. Jingoist I am not, which most of you all are and hence you appear ludicrous!

Google and wikipedia give the gist and so are useful and what is more, since you have no eye for detail, wikipedia gives credible sources as footnotes. Now, if those scholarly tomes are ridiculous, then the world is ridiculous! But then, it is fashionable to run down Wikipedia and the sheep follows the herd! Therefore, who is the sheep and a goat rolled in one, one wonders.

Culture plays a part in shaping the mindset. It requires scholarship to realise that and in case you haven't, it speaks volumes. If culture did not play a role, then what would be difference in people of different areas of the world, apart from the colour of their skin? How is it that culturally a Bengali of India finds it easier to culturally identify with the Bangladeshi than with, let us say, a Punjabi? How would you explain that when Mujib addressed a rally in Calcutta after being released from prison, there was a crowd larger than what any Indian leader could muster or when Bulganin and Krushchev came to India?

Religion plays an important and overwhelming role in the Muslim world. If you have read Abir's post on the ummah you would realise it. You all go to town over ummah and Muslim brotherhood (see the post here on the forum itself) and yet the reality is that you are at each other's throat at the first opportunity. See what is happening in Palestine that you all talk about! Piety oozes in your thoughts for the Palestinians, but it is the very Muslim countries who do not even lift a finger to do anything! Now, the Muslim countries who are aligned to the US are the very ones who are busy toppling Libya, Syria and Iran. And yet, they will not agree to the hypocrisy they are at by quoting religious scriptures and ummah and all that in the next breath. Yet, when it is all peaceful, there is no end of religion being flaunted as the last word of statehood and governance. Therefore, religion does play its role in Islamic countries, like it or not while it does not in non Islamic countries! Therefore, it is not I who is delusional, it is you who wallow in fond delusions!

I daresay I have any complexes - inferior or superior. I say as it appears. When you all revel in canards and daydreams and you are put in your place, it makes you squirm and hence you ascribe all sorts of negativity to my psyche. But then, you will naturally be what you are - Don Quixotes!

I do not claim that you are inferior intellectually. You only prove so with your generalised harangue.

Anyway, enough said.

You go your way and be happy!

Hakuna Matata!

Here is Abir's post:

Sorry if I'm being harsh, but it's you people who making a goat out of yourselves. You ummah brothers from land of Indus slaughtered you in hoards, your ummah brothers from Saudi Arabia treat you as slaves. Your rest of ummah brothers do not even know you exists! You import your necessity from Atheist China and Secular India, export your product to Christian/Jewish Europe and great Satan America, yet you will keep harping your ummah thingy in a sheepish manner. What more funny is, your Ummah brother from Arab wants the Zionists to bomb those of Iran’s!

Not that I’m a supporter of Israel’s policy vis-à-vis Palestine, but you lot have most ridiculous reason behind death to Israel chants, yet have the audacity of calling other people goats!

Zabanya is the most pragmatic of them all and he is following close to him in the order.

Otherwise, he is a good egg!

Abhishek: There is something called "Ajaira Pechal" in Bengali. I don't think Saleen is interested in nailing a schizophrenic. 90% of that man's posts are not relevant to points raised by Saleen.

A fool and his brains are soon parted!

What I wrote and write is too esoteric for a mortal like to even sniff.

So, don't try!

Schizophrenia is but the second name for Bangladeshi posters, so don't push it onto others.

Haven't you noticed that you are projecting yourself as the first superpower of the world with not a farthing in your pocket?

BTW are you a muktiyar?

Saleen has hired you to plead his case?

Or are you a chamcha?

or a stooge?

Stooge is a word that is the flavour of the moment for the Bangladeshis!

Saleen:

TTT is the least pragmatic indian here. He thinks india is already a superpower and all indian army personnel are his students. Better ignore him, because for every one topic you raise, he'll put forth an irrelevant bunch to balloon his posts and disguise a lack of insight into the topic.

He's still around at this hour! General, you need to take care of your obsession. And audience, look at the sentence in bold. This is his so-called "logical debate". And as I write this post, he keeps adding to the above post at ~ 10 words/sec. This general has a lot of time at hand! Wonder if they actually fired him from service!:what:

Thank you for this important post.

India = SUPER POWER
Bangladesh = insignificant
Bangladeshis = Low cast sudra - convert.
Tik Tiki = Once Jamindar of East Bengal.

Get up and Salute..

hehehehehehehehe

I have all the time in my hand.

It is called Time Management. I practice it unlike most of you bright sparks who only read of it.

They did not fire me from service, but they did fire up my chest with medals, to include a gallantry one, if you don't mind.

And we in India fight real wars!

About Tiki:

As he claims that he is form a jamidar family, and he was in army, seems quite improbable/

Seriously, have you ever thought of writing for Kolkata's Anandabazar mag? There is great potential in writing "Pechal lacking in substance" for daily consumption of the world's billions of low IQ and unemployed people. So long Field Marshal TTT! I'm tired of this. :D
