PTI all set for Lahore rally today

[URL='http://www.dailytimes.com.pk/punjab/22-Dec-2013/pti-all-set-for-lahore-rally-today'] Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is all set to take out a rally in protest against inflation, in the city today (Sunday).
The PTI has decorated the city with banners, inviting people to join the protest against the “government’s failure” to check soaring prices. PTI Chairman Imran Khan will lead the rally and address his supporters outside the Punjab Assembly.
The PTI has also set up a “welcome camp” for the rally as party workers remained busy in arranging party flags. Apart from Imran Khan, other PTI leaders would also address demonstrators today.
Although the district administration has allowed the PTI to hold its gathering at Nasir Bagh, the party says it would rally on The Mall.
Imran Khan said on Saturday that people would take to streets of Lahore today not for him or PTI but for themselves as high prices and inflation had made life of common man miserable. Addressing a press conference, the PTI chief warned Punjab authorities not to obstruct the rally, saying that the protest would be “peaceful”. He also said that the Punjab government would be held responsible if police take any action against the peaceful rally. He said The Mall is not property of anybody, adding that PTI supporters would reach there to stage a protest which is democratic right of every citizen.
Imran Khan said that the government of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has failed to control price hike. He alleged that the PML-N came to power after striking a deal with the US.

What's the purpose of this rally when nothing is going to change and we have to accept IMF demands which is causing inflation?

It's just like Drone saga of fooling people. You take money from IMF/America and then protest in Pakistan.

Aye, we haven't seen the full of it yet, inflation. Given IMF loans, inflation is an inevitability.
I suppose controlling it is always good and at the start of this fiscal year the GST was hiked, and for what? That's inflationary.

If Austerity is needed, sorry, austerity would be the wrong word in Pakistan's case, if tax revenue was needed why not make a dent in the much needed tax reforms in our country?

I can understand that somethings are inevitable, but these little things you can try and control and if you don't, they will add up.
