The only thing wrong in Pakistan is presence of corrupt & traitor politicians.

Not like your Armed forces leadership is to be envied....They aint no better...if anything worse!
It's a general problem for Pakistan...weak leadership!

Unfortunately the ones that were strong turned out to be conveniently assasinated or made long term blunders (read Z Ul Haq)

Let me say this categorically that if India was capable of doing so, they would have done so ages ago. But sadly the Vedic powers are not at a substantial level yet.
"vedic powers" . why go into that ??? i mean, it funny, but, u cant quote that on all discussions.
hell if i wud have been a pakistani i wud have surely f****d my indian bros on that.
but coming to the point of "qualitative over quantitative", why fret when there is no answer.

the result wud always end in disaster. and u dont want that, do u ?

but india wud k**k ur *$$ anytime bro (when we become obsessed as u)....cheerio

..what objective does it serve us to destroy Pakistan?!!
they think we think like them ...

“Pakistan’s space programme is now ahead of India after the formal launching of Paksat-I and this is due to the hard work of our scientists.” Mushy, 2002

they think we think like them ...

Its utter foolishness that Pakistanis think that India should just go after Pakistan for no apparent reason but just to settle an age old rivalry...
Its like a the feudal mentality...chaudhry vs. Chaudhry...and they claim we are influenced by Bollywood...LOL!

I mean I urge the Pakistanis to ask themselves...
The US can level pretty much any country in the world as we speak...why dont they just plummel Iran and ISIS into submission? Or just force themselves into ruling all oil producing countries? Maybe they would have, but they lack the capability?! Of course not!
Every war needs an objective...something the Pakistanis fail to understand!
No wonder their leadership is so weak..it starts from the grassroot, where they fail to look at the larger picture!

India has lacked political will/clear political directive to subdue Pakistan...too concerned maintaining an image of soft power.

Only on one occasion in the past, there was clear political directive..and then Pakistan was soundly defeated with two weeks..was able to achieve one of the largest surrenders in history after world war 2.

That kind of thing does not happen, if you lack quality, even if you have numerical advantage.Qualitative superior army does not crumble with in a short span of two weeks.

Pak Army has to run the Country covertly or overtly all the time. They better be of higher quality than India to manage such a mess.

Based on what?

Or is the same of 1 Muslim = 10 Yindus equation...coz that has not worked out for Pakistan so well in the past.
That,s coming from the english people dear..and in the past you faced very tough time .

Yet their respective countries would bet their vegas dollars on India in every faceoff...

Also..define "struggled against Pak"

I have talked to numerous military professionals around the world, and the majority have a good opinion of Pakistani soldiers, you may disagree - that is your right.

When we speak about leadership, I remember Sam Manekshaw! Wow what a wonderful speech!

I see, bar one or two- most of the indians on this thread, are showing their inferiority complex, any positive news about Pakistan has them crying, it is in fact hilarious.

Any other news source other than Pakistani owned? Only asking since they cook up news regularly especially against India.

Also US officers recognize Pakistan's much higher and well-trained than India after Mumbai attack in 2008 but India with high enthusiasm and prides continued dare to attack Pakistan at all costs, US warned India NOT to do anything or any stupid to low level.

Not to forget, Pakistan is now double trained heavily on more operations recently including North Waziristan, SWAT, and some areas, the percent increase to 250% experiences and more equipments. All India can do is to use proxy wars, suicide bombers and terrorists groups to intervene Pakistan progress.

A report from 2002 when Pakistan and India were facing each other and war seemed inevitable.
Pakistan has come a long way since then. The gap has become smaller if anything.

I hope this would force some sense into the vedic commandos on the other side.
Pakistan army has higher quality: UK experts

LONDON, May 22: As the crisis over Kashmir deepens, British military experts say that while India’s armed forces would enjoy a numerical superiority if a war broke out, Pakistan’s army is of higher quality.

Comments by Indian Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee on Wednesday that “the time has come for a decisive fight” further fuelled fears of an all-out war.

In any long-lasting conflict, India would have the advantage of a stronger economy and a population of over one billion compared to Pakistan’s 142 million. It would thus be able to mobilize more soldiers.

But if a conflict was of short duration, these assets would not necessarily enter into the equation, according to William Hopkinson, of the London-based Royal Institute of International Affairs (RIIA).

“The quality of some of the Pakistani troops is probably better on average than that of the Indians,” he said.

“If the worst happens and a war starts, the pressures from all sides to stop it soon would be obviously enormous, so India’s theoretical long-term advantage might not come into play.”

According to the London-based International Institute for Strategic Studies, India has 1,303,000 people in its armed forces, plus 535,000 reservists.

Pakistan has about 612,000 troops and 513,000 reservists.

India is believed to have about 60 nuclear warheads and Pakistan has 25, Britain’s Times reported.

According to British government sources quoted by the paper on Wednesday, the Pakistanis are considered better troops, and could beat off an initial Indian offensive.

But the Indians could then use their superiority in conventional forces to overwhelm the Pakistanis.

In one doomsday scenario which, according to The Times, has been considered by British ministers, Islamabad could then use its weapon of last resort: a nuclear device.

India would survive the strike and hit back with its own atomic weapons, according to the scenario.

The use of nuclear weapons in a war for the first time since the Americans dropped such bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945, is a threat that experts are not dismissing.

“Yes, it is possible,” said Hopkinson. “There could certainly be a risk if one side is going down in conventional struggle to use a nuclear weapon.

“Whether their doctrine would be to use it tactically or to make a strike at the enemy’s capital, I don’t know.

“I would have thought that the likelihood would be a tactical use but again, it depends where the forces are... you don’t want to use something (like that) on your own territory unless you can’t avoid it.”

Hopkinson added: “If Pakistan is faced with defeat but the defeat were happening on its own territory or its part of Kashmir, it might well strike for something a bit further back ... it could be forces massed behind the first echelon.”—AFP
