this will never happen. ever. even if an entire state demands so with 100% of the population in that state demanding to secede from u.s.; the army will just come in slaughter and beat them all. as would any other nation do if this was the case.

You cannot use the Army to its people, that's unconstitutional, in the even of Civil war, the US Army (as a federal Force) will be disbanded as nowadays Army Personel are form every part of the US, and they will form into a Nation Gurad division from each state to slug it out, that's what the National Guard created in the first place.

Lol, The problem is, in the current situation as in the Civil war in 1865, the US Army simply dissolve and forming State Milita otherwise if they keep the US Army as it is, they will not be combat effective as there are bound to be some of the soldier in the same unit do not share the sentiment with the other.

In another word, in case of Civil war, there will not be a United States anymore (the states are not united anymore, hence the civil war) and the United States Army will dissolve and formed into Regional Militia unit. Whatever army you can call them, but they won't be United States Army.......

Eventually if one side win, all the States can be reunited, you can call them United States army again or any other name it seems fit.

The moment the soldier choses side, the Army dissolve. YOu cannot have an confederate soldier serving under a Union general or vice versa in the 1865 civil war, the command structure broken down and if you do not call it dissolve, i don't know what should they called.

and in the 1865 civil war, the US Army split into 2 fraction and eithe fraction called themselve the United States Army (One do call US Army but with different meaning) One is CSA (Confederate States Army) and one is USA (Union States Army)

United States Army represent a country of United States, if they still exist, there will not be civil war but just civil unrest, but if there are civil war, United States will ceased to exist, so does the United States Army. think this is simple enough....

You are right, at the current moment, Civil war cannot broke out, so ther wwill still be a US Army, but if there are Civil war, the US Army have to be dissolved before a civil war can be materialised. You don't need to call me name on it
