Those in the know understand the solution is not due to not "providing weapons and MRAPs". That is just a small tactical part that certainly can help save lives on the move. However, this is a raid against a built up camp of the FC from across the border. In static positions, troops cannot sit inside MRAPs etc. all the time. They have to man positions, OPs etc. and any raiding party can observe, plan and launch attacks.

US/ISAF could not provide air cover 24-7 to their troops thus over 3600 KIA and over 30,000 WIA. Its an impossibility from funding, logistics and operational perspectives.

1- MRAPs matter even in stationary situation since they have heavy machine guns though not as much. It was extensively used as stationary defense item by afghan ANA

MRAPs is the reason the absolutely no.1 reason for 90% of causalities in Pakistan and it's very cheap item. Not procuring it can only be due to high command wanting people to die; there is absolutely no other plausible explanation. If you have one please share.

The other plausible explanation is that corps commanders BMWs are more important

2- air cover in era of drones to key stationary positions hours and hours after a raid simply means not enough investment has been made.
3-US fought a full insurgency and only few 1000s people died. Let's not compare them to us

Not training equipment

FC is equipped with old G3 rifles

While militants have bullet proof jackets night vision advance weapons drones(with bomblet/grenade dropping) and RPGs.

Just like how ANA was underpowered so is the FC since army wants brownie points it will not equip of FC just like how Putin generals don't want to equip the Wegner group

FC is cannon fodder there to create songs

This attack apparently is not conducted by TTP. It's claimed by the newly formed militant group "Tehreek e Jihad Pakistan".According to their claims, FC suffered 40 dead.

Head needs to role but unfortunately we as a country don’t care about accountability. 16 soldiers, we lost 16 individuals who were father, brother , son and husbands. At least 16 families lives have changed forever and the best we can do is what we have been doing is make dua and move on.

Corruption has made people in power morally bankrupt. Army needs to do a self reflection and soldiers need to raise their voices. Shahadat is what we all want but it doesn’t mean we don’t look at weakness. Major intelligence failure and how did they even get this close. Such a major base and they don’t have cameras installed at a distance to warn them of incoming threat

Same story every time. Foot soldiers getting killed due to policy failures. Army should reevaluate its Balochistan strategy. Using blunt force and arresting popular local leaders protesting for basic demands is counter-productive.

I have never understood this Pakistani thing of post incident analyzing CCTV footages. If these CCTV feeds are not monitored real time and action taken, then what is the point of having them.

I am a civilian, but I can clearly see these idiots in open, easy to neutralize and avert the aftermath, but no, they are doing whatever they doing without any opposition or struggle.
