Secret £14million Bible in which 'Jesus predicts coming of Prophet Muhammad' unearthed in Turkey

  • Vatican 'wants to see' 1,500-year-old ancient script
  • Has been hidden by Turkish state for 12 years
  • Handwritten in gold-lettered Aramaic

A secret Bible in which Jesus is believed to predict the coming of the Prophet Muhammad to Earth has sparked serious interest from the Vatican.

Pope Benedict XVI is claimed to want to see the 1,500-year-old book, which many say is the Gospel of Barnabas, that has been hidden by the Turkish state for the last 12 years.

The £14million handwritten gold lettered tome, penned in Jesus' native Aramaic language, is said to contain his early teachings and a prediction of the Prophet's coming.

The leather-bound text, written on animal hide, was discovered by Turkish police during an anti-smuggling operation in 2000.

It was closely guarded until 2010, when it was finally handed over to the Ankara Ethnography Museum, and will soon be put back on public display following a minor restoration.

A photocopy of a single page from the handwritten ancient manuscript is thought to be worth £1.5million.

Turkish culture and tourism minister Ertugrul Gunay said the book could be an authentic version of the Gospel, which was suppressed by the Christian Church for its strong parallels with the Islamic view of Jesus.

He also said the Vatican had made an official request to see the scripture - a controversial text which Muslims claim is an addition to the original gospels of Mark, Matthew, Luke and John.

In line with Islamic belief, the Gospel treats Jesus as a human being and not a God.

It rejects the ideas of the Holy Trinity and the Crucifixion and reveals that Jesus predicted the coming of the Prophet Muhammad.

In one version of the gospel, he is said to have told a priest: 'How shall the Messiah be called? Muhammad is his blessed name'.

And in another Jesus denied being the Messiah, claiming that he or she would be Ishmaelite, the term used for an Arab.

Despite the interest in the newly re-discovered book, some believe it is a fake and only dates back to the 16th century.

The oldest copies of the book date back to that time, and are written in Spanish and Italian.

Protestant pastor İhsan Özbek said it was unlikely to be authentic.

This is because St Barnabas lived in the first century and was one of the Apostles of Jesus, in contrast to this version which is said to come from the fifth or sixth century.

He told the Today Zaman newspaper: 'The copy in Ankara might have been written by one of the followers of St Barnabas.

'Since there is around 500 years in between St Barnabas and the writing of the Bible copy, Muslims may be disappointed to see that this copy does not include things they would like to see.

'It might have no relation with the content of the Gospel of Barnabas.'

Theology professor Ömer Faruk Harman said a scientific scan of the bible may be the only way to reveal how old it really is.

Quotes might be in disputed "bhavisya puran" or other scrptures but Gita is not possible ad there are not any predictions there except an affirmation which you can related to Prophet Muhammad as well .

"

Yada Yada Hi Dharmasya

Glanirva Bhavathi Bharatha,

Abhyuthanam Adharmaysya

Tadatmanam Srijami Aham'.

Praritranaya Sadhunam

Vinashaya Cha Dushkritam

Dharamasansthapnaya

Sambhavami Yuge-Yuge."

Bhagavat Gita (Chapter IV-7-8)

"Whenever there is decay

of righteousness O! Bharatha( The king from whom Word Bharat a name of India comes from)

And a rise of unrighteousness

then I manifest Myself!"

"For the protection of the good,

for the destruction of the wicked and

for the establishment of righteousness,

I am born in every age."

Israel brings Dead Sea scrolls to life with upgrade of digital archive

In an extraordinary marriage between high-tech wizardry and ancient history, Israel's national antiques authority has launched an updated version of its digital library of the Dead Sea scrolls, showcasing thousands of high-quality photographs of one of the world's most spectacular archaeological finds.

The expanded online resource, which is accessible from personal computers and mobile phones, presents hundreds of scroll fragments imaged with a camera that was developed specifically for this purpose. Only five expert curators worldwide are authorised to physically handle the scrolls.

Among the scrolls is an early copy of the book of Deuteronomy, which includes the 10 commandments. The first of the scrolls were discovered in a remote cave at Qumran in the West Bank close to the Dead Sea in 1947 – a year before Israel's war of independence and the Palestinian "Nakba".

Housed in the Israel Museum in Jerusalem in a dedicated facility called the Shrine of the Book, the scrolls include part of the first chapter of the book of Genesis, dated to the first century BC, which describes the creation of the world; a number of copies of Psalms scrolls; tiny texts from the second temple period; letters and documents hidden by those fleeing Roman forces during the Bar Kochba revolt; and hundreds more ancient texts that shed light on biblical studies, the history of Judaism and the origins of Christianity.

The upgraded website includes 10,000 new multispectral images, extra manuscript descriptions, content translated into Russian and German in addition to the current languages, a faster search engine, and easy access from the site to the Facebook page and to Twitter and more, said the Israel Antiques Authority (IAA).

"The novelty is the quality of the pictures through a system that was created especially for the scrolls," said Pnina Shor, curator and head of the Dead Sea Scrolls Project at the IAA. "These are the best possible images of thousands of fragments. They are exactly like the originals. The technology was invented for Nasa. It is a living site and a uniquely comprehensive one for documents this old."

By the early 1960s Bedouin treasure hunters and archaeologists had found the remains of hundreds of manuscripts made up of thousands of fragments in the Judean desert along the western shore of the Dead Sea. These fragile pieces of parchment and papyrus were preserved for two millennia by the hot, dry climate and the darkness of the caves.

The texts are written in Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek and Nabataean. The manuscripts have been dated to various periods between 408 BC and 318 AD.

"The scrolls provide an unprecedented picture of the diverse religious beliefs of ancient Judaism, and of daily life during the turbulent Second Temple period when Jesus lived and preached, on biblical studies, the history of Judaism and the origins of Christianity," says the IAA website.

This is old news but I hear the Vatican has secret texts and/or other hidden/preserved items somewhere in their storages. Is this true at all?

Btw, OP there are big church leaders who know the truth about Muhammad(SAW) but they will never allow to take hold amongst their people, because to them it's about culture, exclusivity, business. Churches are a really good money maker and it isn't actually about being accepted by God.

This is why they are now accepting gays, loosening up slowly until they completely become seculars, they only care about winning people and having that identity of being Christian.
