Just on twitter 3-4 hashtags all in favor of TLP, about 1 million just on twitter. Imagine, how it is going to translate on street. When was the last time a Pakistani trend crossed a million mark?

Imran khan and pakistan would look weak and their image takes a severe dent if they back off now...they cant afford to lift the ban..they can release the tlp leader though.

So far it seems that TLP has popular support among commons and on social media.

This can translate to something more horrid, so I hope that Pakistan Army is on standby to handle the law and order situation.

Long term, there's no way out of this especially with this Government. You can't break this with force alone. You need to change the mindsets, but Pakistan has all this time only been harboring these extremist mindsets. So this is really no surprise.

This is our own making and doing, really. All the people on this forum call liberals, seculars and nationalists as the other side of this coin, but really we aren't militant and we sure as hell don't call for mutiny in institutions.

I hope your eyes are wide open.

Edit: All those calling to use any force necessary need to realize that TLP is enjoying significant support from the public, especially right now.

these are religious thugs and in my view these TLP is biggest blasphemy itself for harassing and making a chaos in the name of Holy Prophet Muhammad PBUH.

result was police was caught off guard its officers humiliated beaten brutally and even killed. the banning of the organisation is also halfarsed and will be challenged in the court.

I suspect the hand of our military intelligence services in there as well because this TLP cant just grow out of nowhere and have the resources and manpower to challenge the entire state.

the handling of this thug organisation seems badly planned and half hearted and the GHovt might blink first and will give more space to these thugs and I fear a bigger repeat of the Suleman Taseer copy cat murder
where military and civilian leadership body gaurds, gardeners or Peons affiliated by this zealot illness might assault them in the most vulnerable times.
