Theft is a theft, it doesnt have "Good taliban or bad Taliban" analogy. Mind you, it wasnt just US but many countries like Russia who played major role in defeating the Nazi Germany, yet they are not known to "steal" Nazi technology. And why China has to defeat US in a cowboy style fashion, when there are more civilized and subtle ways. Knowledge cannot be compartmentalised and locked in a box.

As I said, top Chinese brain do indeed stay put within China and serve their country. You as a citizen of a country which is the closet ally of China, should do more research on your best friends, rather embarrassing yourself on public forums.

Keep your trash out of our country. Those were PLA military-sponsored researchers. Go do your research at Peking University or at the Wuhan. plenty of research to be done in there. There are fewer than 72,000 Americans in China, most were begged by the Chinese company(s) to come there because you trade heavily with us and can't speak a lick of English or understand American corporate culture and laws.

Thats a stupid excuse. All US sensitive research projects do very tough security details on every individual. Generally there is nothing worth stealing from university research as most work is published and the research is pretty open and cooperative. The west is acting like a cry baby because china is steaming ahead of them.
