It is a Ghader Anti ship cruise missile and the thing that got detached was actually the booster. The missile uses a turbojet engine which doesn't generate much smoke and the smoke you see is that of solid fuel booster.
Iran has the capacity to build a surface to air missile with "capabilities like Russian S-300" in some specific parts.
Iran has a long history of working of Solid fuel surface to surface rocket. Mainly Naze'at and Zelzal series.

Iran didn't support Armenia. But didn't support Azerbaijan either. Mainly because of Azerbaijan's close friend(Israel). In fact, if they stop their relations with Israel, I think they would have Iran's support.
