Donald Trump’s China Nightmare Is Coming True For The U.S. Dollar

The question isnt if China wants to, but wether or not the digital yuan can function as a full replacement, the mere capacity to act as one would give it tremendous power. China's internal market alone is enough to warrant the project.

Donald Trump’s China Nightmare Is Coming True For The U.S. Dollar

Theoretically, The digital yuan does not need to replace the dollar to undermine its strategic value, by simply providing an alternative, the US can no longer leverage the dollar's reserve currency status to impose unilateral sanctions. The question is... can the digital yuan act as a full...

China refutes call from the U.S. for compensation

I hope the responses from some of our Chinese members here are not indicative of how their leadership view things. When the stakes are so high, as high as economic control of the world, one cannot underestimate even the smallest of threats, let alone an adversary as devious as the west is, a...

Chances of the US using coronavirus as a pretext to manufacture a military conflict against china

This actually sounds plausible. I,m not sure how the Chinese leadership view all of this, after the swine pandemic last year and this, they must at least suspect that this is no mere coincidence and hopefully will consider all potential future scenarios and put forward some sort of plan. The...

Chances of the US using coronavirus as a pretext to manufacture a military conflict against china

Would it be stupid for a nation so desperate to cling onto power ? Non-military measures may not suffice in containing China's rise.

Chances of the US using coronavirus as a pretext to manufacture a military conflict against china

Many figured that It is was unlikely that the US would sit idle and watch itself being overtaken economically by China within the next 10 years. Regardless of wether it is was a natural occurance or man-made, the US and its allies are already using the pandemic to smear China, depriving it of...

China releases propaganda video in Arabic for Middle Eastern countries

Middle east and Africa arent the west, projecting a positive image of your culture is not (surrendering), India did not surrender when it spread bolywood to the middle east but made it much harder to misrepresent its culture by adversaries. We are having videos like this being spread edited and...

China releases propaganda video in Arabic for Middle Eastern countries

Much more needs to be done, I wouldn't have noticed this video if not for this thread. There has been an ongoing, coordinated smearing compaign against china in here even before the corona virus and have only grown bolder after, we used to hear nothing on China only 2 years ago. China should...

We won't allow Hezbollah to entrench itself militarily in Syria.

Member nations of the Arab world hardly act in unity in any meaningful way, the gulf is mostly its own bloc with it's own divisions, egypt is its own entity so are most of the other members. There are idealogical rifts, conflicting interests as well as bad blood, absent a regime change of the...

Iraqi PM-designate may be on futile mission to win Iranian support

This probably explains, in part, the terrible performance of the political class that ruled this country for the past 15 years, they have differing loyalties to external entities each having conflicting interests that ultimately lead to this extraordinary ability to not agree on anything useful...

Iraqi PM-designate may be on futile mission to win Iranian support

No one with dual citizenship should be allowed to be a prime minister or any critical position for that matter, specially not one with an american citizenship like al zurfi. Though getting increasingly inept, the population can still be mobilized in enough numbers to ensure he never becomes the PM.

Breaking: Coalition airstrikes underway against multiple Iranian-backed militia sites in Iraq

Those units are a legal part of the Iraqi goverment, they were attacked without any investigation or legal grounds in a complete disregard for the country's sovereignity. Times change... history cannot be unwritten.

    A brief introduction.

This is an interesting insight, mostly because it is true, you may have met more of the later than the first... though if we want to pay justice to the science of human behavior, its never that simple, they may be extremely rude online, yet extremely nice in person, immediate enviroment is key...

    A brief introduction.

I cannot claim to be very good about any particular topic, specially with how knowledgable some of the people in here are. However being from Iraq I can give insights into the country and my personal take on regional events in the middle east.

    A brief introduction.

Thank you, the profile pic is thought to be of either that of Sargon of Akkad, one of mesopotamia's greatest kings or his grandson Naram_sin. The stories of those 2 are many and you could read all about them, of interest is that stories of Sargon and Naram would serve as a precursor of many...

'No, No America': Thousands of Iraqis rally against U.S. military presence

That someone in Washington looked at a map of Iraq, The Mecca of Shia, with more than 20 million people gathering annually from around the world despite all the risks involved, and with more holy sites than any of its neigbors, then still decided that they would turn this land into a secular...

Protests in Tehran after Iran's admission, Iranian demand ouster of Supreme leader

Raising a new generation well-educated and trained against such media attacks is indeed an excellent solution albeit for the long-term, it would take 10+- years to yield results (the time for a single generation to grow). Short-term, a more immediate solution is needed.

Protests in Tehran after Iran's admission, Iranian demand ouster of Supreme leader

Simply turning the net off isn't a solution, as this creates other problems, you cant ask people to be completely disconnected. A proper solution would probably involve a set of tools including a nation-wide intranet for emergencies, a gradual shift to non-US social media sites, an electronic...

Protests in Tehran after Iran's admission, Iranian demand ouster of Supreme leader

How much influence does social media have in Iran ? Here in Iraq, social media has been an effective tool for inciting protests. A solution to this problem needs to be developed.
