In case of R73, as @Sine Nomine mentioned, It would serve as a sort of an auxiliary powering unit to steer the missile hence freeing/dedicating the solid fuel of the R73 to power forward.
@anathema
Are you intellectually numb?
Christine Flair blasted the entire narrative of your Air Force...
This is by far the most appalling conspiracy theory I've come across (second to Zaid Hamid's)
You have absolutely no idea how is PAF managing Project AZM. What is going into it. What is Pakistan gaining and giving up throughout the duration of the project.
Nobody should mark your words. Why...
It is kind of a small rocket motor in conventional missiles. Serves as the initiator in a power chain with a series of sequences for catapulting the missile forward. Usually, it contains a supply of solid combustible chemical compounds and an igniter. These compounds are burnt rapidly to produce...
There has to be someone who can still fly it or atleast teach it.
The course of Air Cmdr Tariq Mahmood Ashraf (Ex Base Cmdr Kamra) was the last one to fly the F-86. They are still in good shape and they might be around for this.
There are some airframes of F-86 laying here and there in Malir. They are in a bad shape. However, I think they can be restored after a depot level maintenance. Good idea though.
PN does not need its own fighter fleet in my opinion.
Our coastal and maritime depth doesn't require a dedicated blue water naval operations.
Only if our JSHQ does its work. All should be good.
I didnt get a chance to follow up with anyone in PN.
Did you hear anything along these lines?
And I doubt if jets can be used for SAR ops. Usually heli's deployed. No?
No F-15s or F-18s are coming in the next 20 years.
I dont know from does this notion come from.
We simply dont have the money. Neither would Congress allow such a powerful aircraft to be exported to a country which gets cozy with Chinese. Its 2020, and US personnel at Sargodha and Jaccoabad...
Yes it is 100% OEM supported.
US has not halted Pakistan's F-16 sustainment program due to strong protest lodged before buying the Block 52's back in 2005. And trust me when I say this, the guys at Lockheed were embarrassed. Their lobbies work in great favor for Pakistan in Congress to date...
Nope.
PAF has a dedicated ordnance maintenance depot that specialized in AMRAAM back in 2006 to service AMRAAMs. Battery replacement, electronics overhaul and rocket fuel replacement (it has solid fuel) are some of the things they do. Hence Shelf life will not be an issue for decades to come...
Looks like these most secret documents detailing the mission lay on your table.
At least 2 targets were engaged on the 26th. The pilot still misses not getting the authentication to fire.
The JF-17 belonged to 14 sqn. I would name the pilot too but it is irrelevant to your face saving.
You have no idea what you are talking about. So doesnt the member you have tagged.
Russian and Chinese bombers have been often intercepted deep in hostile territories. Yet no one dares to press the trigger. No one wants to be responsible for starting a war.
These bandits launched standoff...
The chap was on a solo flight. Crashes happen.
T-37 is a very safe aircraft to fly. It is not only easy to handle, it has an excellent gliding capability, stall recovery and it can also land on its nose wheel in case the main landing gears refuse to push out. Happened so many times. Saved so...
