North Korea Plans Report on Human Rights

NK was East Germany of Asia during the Cold War. I expect they to have developed more because unlike VN which was supported with guns and missles, NK was supported with money and engineers.

North Korea Plans Report on Human Rights

Those women are NK defectors? I thought that only NK soldiers stationed near the DMZ can defect to SK. Most NK choose to defect to China or Russia, where the border defense is not as tight as the DMZ.

Chinese international student talks about his experience living in Japan

True, China would love to use Japan apology as a political advantage on diplomatic negotiation. I believe that's why Japan is cautious about this issue.

Chinese international student talks about his experience living in Japan

Germany govt keeps a silent policy: "You don't talk about it I don't talk about it". And Jewish people do not react the same way as Chineses do. Leave Japan alone for a while and suddenly some Japaneses will want to apologize to China. If you guys keep backing them to the corner, I won't see...

Chinese international student talks about his experience living in Japan

History classes are to taught kids about how their ancestors lived and acted, and of course no one want to acknowledge that their grandfathers were the bad guys. I believe Chinese history class does not touch much on the matter of Chinese civil war. What do you mean by "comfort"? Apology? Money...

Chinese international student talks about his experience living in Japan

Human are such beasts. I should become a cat like you. But seriously, wars open the darkest side of human nature. Can't expect to see nice things. Give the modern Japanese a break. I think they don't have to pay for the sin of their father. Your so-called "victim" just bombed the hell out of...

Chinese international student talks about his experience living in Japan

I understand. Still it makes me lose faith in humanity. And those images might be too "graphical" for younger mems. I felt nauseous after watching them.

Sino-Japanese War still stings China 120 years later

"Một mình chống mafia" again, @Nihonjin1051 ? Recently I shared a VNese article about Chinese nationalism on VN military topic. I'd love to translate it to English but it's too long and will take a lot of work to do so. Are you interested? If you are, them I will try to translate it. Chinese...

Chinese rocket crashes in Gobi desert yesterday. CCP tries to cover it up

Urgh, look photoshoped to me. The orange smoke looks similar in 2-3 pictures, and looks fake too. There is little burning mark on the ground, and the dirt does not look that fresh.

    Vietnamese discriminated in Cambodia

They are like Han ethnic in VN during the 1979 war. VN expelled thousands of them to China during war time. Wonder how did China deal with them back then? As far as I am concerned, they are Cambodians, with VNese blood in them. VN is not a racist country. If you are good to us, doesn't matter...

Vietnam to Arm Fishery Surveillance Ships After Standoff With China

What is the big deal? It's on the table that VN-China is on a hate-hate relationship, and can turn into enemies in seconds. China armed their ships then traveled around the disputed water, poiting cannons at VN ships. It's common sense that VN must show some reaction, as well as pre-caution...

China to build lighthouses on five isles in defiance of U.S. call

Under that logic then police can do what they want to prisoners, army can do what they want on land they occupy. Of course people always do that but they don't talk about it openly. China should build whatever they want on their controlled area, but don't tell the world that "Hey, I am building...

China will create own Christian belief system amid tensions with church, says official

They are not as powerful as you thouth, but they are VNese and I don't want VN govt to resort to violence. Normally, they are all respected citizens, but when they have to choose between the country and God, they will absolutely choose God. Land of all VNese, no it's the land of God. Most of our...

China will create own Christian belief system amid tensions with church, says official

I want to ask you for your opinion as a son from a Christian. What is your impression? Of course Vantican cannot do anything to China, but VN is smaller, while the ratio of Christian/non-Christian is higher than China (around 5-8%) so their voice can do a certain effect on VN.

China will create own Christian belief system amid tensions with church, says official

VN media paints our Christians troublemakers. I am also friends with some Christians and I am quite uncomfortable with VN Christians put God above the laws and govt. Do Chinese Christians get in cases where they must choose between God and their country? What is the majority choice?

China will create own Christian belief system amid tensions with church, says official

I have a question: Aren't Christians allowed to marry non-Christians unless non-Christians follow their belief, i.e becoome Christians? And you, a child of a Christian couple, didn't get baptism and become a Christian at a young age? I am not familiar with Christian. Just asking :-)

Khmer Rouge trials: Cambodian tribunal convicts former leaders

It's sad that biggest criminals in the world often never get a sentence before dieing of old age because of long trials, while innocents who are falsely accused often get their sentences quickly, even with the lack of evidence.
