What's new

Zelenski, Turkey and Ukrain will produce together aircraft engine

.
.
Ukraine will help Turkiye gain independence from US & UK Engines.

Ukrain will not help Turkey gain independecy, this is old Sovjet engine technology. What we can do is design a engine from scratch with Ukrain with Western standard. Singel Crystal technology and 3D printing, titanium blisk kind stuf in new engine.

The thing is with Ukrain engine they need a lot of maintain program, if a Western engine fly 5000 hour and need a overhaul, Ukrain engine 1500 hours. Flying like that is expensive.

. .
Ukraine's engine technology was Soviet. After USSR dissolved, Ukraine got no more investment from Russia and everything collapsed and millions of Ukrainians left Ukraine to work and live in Russia. Turkey should ally with Russia, not with Ukraine. Ukraine has no future.

.
Turkiye will play the most critical role in the reconstruction of the Ukrainian industry. Currently, hundreds of Ukrainian senior engineers are in Turkiye with their families. The strongest bonds of friendship between the two nations are about 2000 Ukrainian orphaned children currently here and over 50,000 Ukrainians who took refuge in Turkiye during the war.

Until the end of war, Ukrainian commanders which liberated by Turkiye's efforts will be our most precious guests on our land with their families. Together with the UK, we will rebuild the Ukrainian navy. We will put Ukrainian aerospace and defense companies in a position to compete globally. While the war continues, we fearlessly continue to announce our investments in Ukraine. Baykar Tech is building its European base in Ukraine. Only Baykar's order size to Ukrainian engine manufacturers is much higher than the amount that the whole of Europe brings to the Ukrainian defense industry.

We are also the biggest supporter of Ukraine's economic activities and exports. We are making investments to overcome the economic difficulties of many Ukrainian companies. And we succeded to removing the blockages in grain and fertilizer exports.

I am not sure if Ukraine can join NATO, but if there is one thing I do know, it is that Turkish-Ukrainian cooperation will be at a higher level than ever before in history.

this is great but does Ukraine and Poland curriculum at school from a very young age not teach the kids that Ottomans Turks were were the greatest enemy of the Orthodox Christians ?

so I am intrigued how Ukraine and Turkey got so close and have so much trust ?

Don't worry,Russians won't forget the help to Ukraine.

Don't worry, us too. ;)

But the million dollar question here is @Foinikas; Which engines will be produced with which technology?

IMO, we will share the single crystal technology with Ukraine. In return, Ukraine will share with us the super alloy technology they use in cold sector of the engine.

In result, Ukraine will enter western engine technology for the engine's hot sector, and we will not have to reinvent the wheel. (super alloy)

Aaah that's another story! ;)

The thing is that Ukraine will be heavily in debt after the war. But for now let's see what happens. If this becomes a bigger war, that's the problem. I heard today that the Russians are supposedly moving nukes closer to Ukraine. No idea if it's true or British propaganda,but...

No it is not. It is not correct to generalize hundreds of years of historical interaction by referring to a few specific events. You probably don't even know that there is a Polish county in Istanbul, or that about 5% to 10% of modern Turkiye's population actually originated in the territory of today's occupied Ukraine. I mean, if we are selective in perception, you can produce very different results.

From a historical perspective, Orthodoxy has a power struggle within itself. Especially since the tsarist period of Russia, the struggle for patronage over this orthodoxy played an active role in regional politics. The destabilization of the Balkans and the turmoil in the Caucasus are one of its consequences. The Moscow Patriarchate, which declared its independence in the 15th century, became an important political tool in Russia's regional policies. Especially after Soviet Russia, modern Russia tends to use this patriarchate for similar purposes.

In such cases, generalizations produce very erroneous results. Each region has its own dynamics. And these need to be studied separately to understand their nature. Today, the religious authority in Ukraine has declared that it is not affiliated with the Russian orthodox church (Moscow patriarchy).

One of the common misconceptions is that Ukraine has historically always been in harmony both religously and politically with the center of Moscow. Ukrainians (and Belarusians) have been in war with Russia for more than 400 years, until Russia eventually made them own colonies.

I would like to offer you three anecdotes to deepen your research on this subject.

1. As Ukraine was part of Grand Duchy of Lithuania initially, you should start with:

2. Then, there is the list of ware between Russia and independent Ukrainians: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_wars_between_Russia_and_Ukraine

3. Final occupation was finished in 1795: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Partitions_of_Poland

In other words, it is necessary to understand that religious unity or ethnic affinity is not the only determining factor in regional policy.

Therefore, the most legendary alliances in our region did not arise from religious or ethnic unity, as is thought, but from common geopolitical interests.

Throughout history, Orthodox fought against Orthodox, Muslims fought against Muslims, Turks fought against Turks, and Slavs fought against Slavs in this region.

If the Dictator Putler uses tactical nuclear weapons or something, you Greeks and we Turks will have much much more serious problems than Ukrainian aviation engines. :D

The global economy is walking a very narrow path and is about to fall into the abyss.

The moment the dictator Putler makes that decision, first the global bond market crashes and then everything else drags. Cracking sounds are already coming from the global bond market. For example, a UK pension fund went bankrupt last month and was bailed out by the UK government.

The global political & economical situation is exceedingly fragile, dear Foinikas, my friend.

Note: Remember, pension funds are the most reliable funds, in theory. They cannot invest in everything. Where they can invest is limited by law. This is why pension funds often invest in the bond market. The bankruptcy of a pension fund is therefore a warning signal that must be taken very seriously.

Evet. The whole world now is in danger of a world war. Putin doesn't know what to do to and Biden is pushing him even more.

It looks as if Putin wants to win no matter what.

So you are saying it’s a long term sustainable friendship and not out of desperation from Ukraine ?

But yes even Ada class was signed before Russian invasion so I think both Ukraine and Turkey have a good future together
