How does being a good citizen of secular western country help the cause of Ummah, I ask since you seem to master the cause of Ummah and blast secular govt of Bangladesh for deviating the cause of Ummah.
Please try to answer in clear words, so far all you said that you know it's wrong, but you can't do anything, you will move to some Islamic country in future etc. Not much substance to provide rebuttal, sadly enough.:
Once again, attacking me instead of my argument. Go read up on some logic fallacies when you have time.
- I am not the master of anything, nor did I claim to be. I merely stated the reality of things and put my personal POV into it.
- I did not "blast" the Bangladeshi government.
- I did not say that being a good citizen helps the cause of the Ummah (though it can, will explain in the next paragraph). But since I'm here, and there is nothing significant that I can do for the moment, Islamically I am to stay here and be a good citizen until the time is right for me to move elsewhere. As a Muslim, I try to/am supposed to act rationally, not radically.
Can me being here help the Ummah? Yes. Since I'm here, I can work towards using my time, education, money, etc for the betterment of Muslims here. I, while trying to be a good citizen and a good Muslim, can give a good image of the Ummah and give indirect da'wah.
Was that clear enough for you?
Well boyo last time I checked I'm on Pakistan Defense Forum and it's not owned by you or any of your Jamati buddies. You don't get to tell anyone where to comment and where not.
Rawami Dalal-Tagore loving munafiq-Islamic name Mushrik-Awami-Indian Rajakar-malaun-digital deception-BSF etc etc
Which side do I take....
Saved up some time to troll tonight. =) Cmon boys, fight on! ;p
Yes, as a Bangladeshi it is a tad embarassing to see the "infighting" here. I wouldn't call it "infighting" as the swearing and insulting is basically one way.
My troll time is up. You guys are losing momentum! ;p
jkjkjk.
By the way, we need to take this sort of infighting seriously. Isn't there a way the secular and the religious people can get along somehow? Like keeping the constitution as it is, without any further initiative to turn it "more secular" or "more Islamic"?
This thread isn't a secularist v religious thing...I myself am religious. I don't agree with one particular organization in Bangladesh, Jamat, who are hated by most of our country's Islamic scholars anyway.
The BNP v BAL divide is more of a serious issue though, but slowly, slowly with economic growth, the strengthening of the media and civil society we will become more like western countries. We are much better than most Muslim and Arab countries anyway. Do you know what would happen to an Arab if he threw shoes at a government minister? Worst case scenario, his entire family would be massacred...though that is the extreme case.
He should rename himself to Yousel El Idiot Kaber!
Ignore Ignore Ignore. You don't need to fight as there is no Caliphate Right now. For example A muslim group took shelter in Christian Ethipioa Abyssinia when Muhammad(PBUH) was himself starving in Mecca ! Its only when Medina became the capital of Muslims everyone came back to Join the Army! So @akash57 bhai ignore him!
I do hope your vision comes true.
I am completely aware of Jamat's Moududi ideologies. But Jamat fanbase constitutes a section of our society, and we need to get along with them. In the movie 300, can you imagine how weak the stupid Spartan phalanx formation would have been if there were gaps between their shields? Like the stupid Spartans, let's hold our shields together and stand united against "the beast". ;p
BJI (Bangladesh Jamat e Islami) can never realize their dream of making Bangladesh a neo-Mughal part of Pakistan, there are too many social and economic factors preventing that
