What's the point of living at all If you already know the inevitable? Has human intelligence reached a certain level where logic dictates that the next step of evolution for humanity is to die out?
Ramblings from a stupid guy.
I think this is a pertinent question. But then we all know that we are going to die sooner or later?
The basic question remains, are you living or merely existing? If despite all the aches & pains (these come with the old age any way); disappointments (failure to achieve ones desires) and sadness (death of a close relation or a friend) you are still a reasonably healthy individual; wanting to end your life is cowardice as it indicates ones inability to face the life itself.
However, for one who is perpetually bed ridden, on life support and in terrible pain; your point is valid.
