You cant fight india with a weak economy ...

.
There are no winners in such a war. Pakistan (and India) must find other ways to resolve their differences if they are to progress.

They are clearly incapable of finding such a way currently. For one to find ways, you have to have talks. The issue is the hubris on the other side. They think that Pakistan will buckle under their economic superiority and that is their miscalculation.

There has to be intent and motivation on both sides to find ways to resolution. That clearly is not the case with the turn that India has taken in the recent past with all the challenges with their minorities and now the strong-arming of Kashmiris.

While one can never shut the door to diplomacy ever, there is a time and place for all things and currently, neither Pakistan or India are ready to talk given the latest moves by the latter.

I would largely agree with your post above, with the added observation that India's miscalculation about Pakistan's economic weakness may have at least a partial basis in reality. That, of course, does not help in resolving the issues, as you said, and therefore Pakistan must develop enough economic strength to make India revise their (mis)calculus.

I can understand Kashmir, but why are India's minorities of any concern to you in relation to maintaining a relationship with India ?

you mean both of you have a fetish for cow pee :enjoy:

@Major Sam
if you want to be fair give the negative rating to the one who brought in cow pee into the discussion

The enemy won't let you prepare and get ready for war. They will actively weaken you regardless and hit you hard when you are least ready.

Ask the Vietnamese and Afghan Mujahideen about their economies.

But honestly the Pakistani Government and people have already lost. They lost when Liaquat Ali Khan was assasinated. They don't have the mentality, motivation, unity to win. That is the 70 year tragedy of Pakistan.

vietnamese economy is doing well
afghanistan will be afghanistan

I know I know Indians have 7 times bigger in numbers and 8 times bigger defence budget... But they also have more to loss.

Thats right, dont let emotion drive your decision. Pakistan must be united under Imran Khan. Until so far his decision is rational. Going to war with India over Kashmir issue is stupid. Better focus on economy.

making rational decisions has been never a trademark of pakistanis

It is 'more to lose' not 'more to loss'. Anyways there is no war happening. So chill!

I hate BJP to the core.... I knew many such Indians, but each and every one of them supports this governments Pakistan policy!

Don't engage Pakistan till it stops engaging terrorist. No war is happening, Pakistan cannot sustain a conventional war and nuclear option is feasible, not even China would back in that scenario.

We are waiting till curfew is lifted from IoK. Their reaction will depend what action Pakistan take.

pakistan is weak economically at the mercy of KSA, USA and China

To all Pakistanis, who are haling future American withdrawal as a Taliban victory.

A reverse phycological question for you.

If you were to declare war on India and India captured entire Pakistan(very improbable but lets assume for argument's sake) .
India installed a puppet goverment and ruled Pakistan for next 20 years. There are pockets of resistance and guerilla fighting. But 90 percent, who die, are Pakistanis.

Finally one day, India decides, ruling Pakistan is not worth their resources and decides to leave of its own accord.

Would you claim that Pakistan won that war?

Because, that is what exactly Taliban won.
If Pakistan bleeds the occupying forces to a bloody withdrawal, what else would you call it?

The truth regarding Afghanistan is that US supported Northern Alliance to exercise some sort of control over Afghanistan, installed a puppet regime in Kabul but FAILED to strengthen them to an extent to fight off and destroy Taliban. The reason is that Taliban enjoy major support in Afghanistan. The people Americans came to liberate from the Taliban are the people support the Taliban agaisnt America. American's failure was in misjudging the local support Taliban will enjoy in wake of a foreign occupying force. They tried to change the tide of war in their favor for two decades, even brought in ISIS to fight the Talibans, failed, now have finally realized that Taliban are AFGHAN and there is no way AROUND them. It cannot be called victory of America by any means.

One question: Can Afghanistan remain a viable launching pad for attacks against USA anymore or not?

Do you think when US left the place after Soviets were defeated they would have thought that the place can be used as a launching pad for attacks against USA?

A lawless country with multiple factions ruling or trying to rule different parts of it, who knows!

Leaving Afghanistan so abruptly was a mistake and USA has paid the price for it, for sure. But I do not think that area will be able to mount any such attacks for a long time to come.
