nasty monkey on the lap.

official wearing bright organe color lungi AND a monkey in the lap is something very entertaining,

So he can bring monkeys, snakes, rats, dogs, cows to work in his office, because he is above the law

Show me a report which says he is bringing a monkey with him to work in the CM's office

From 8 am to 10 am each morning, Yogi Adityanath, high priest of the Gorakhnath mandir and Gorakhpur's Member of Parliament from the Bharatiya Janata Party since 1998, tends to his constituency from a low desk in a spacious room in the administrative block of the temple's sprawling lands.

Assisting him is a team of scribes, seated cross-legged on the ground before a set of ancient Devnagari-script typewriters, balanced on bricks wrapped in old newspaper. Petitioners pass through a security check, leave their shoes at the gate, and approach the priest with folded hands and bowed heads.

Adityanath -- short, stocky, and clad in saffron robes, thick transparent plastic earrings, and vermillion socks -- listens with the fragile patience of a self-consciously busy man. "Write an application," he occasionally declares. The clerks nod dutifully and slide another sheet of paper into the typewriter.

Recent reports describe Adityanath - a Hindutva hardliner, and prime accused in Gorakhpur's 2007 communal riots -- as a key coordinator of the BJP's election strategy for Uttar Pradesh, the state with the most Lok Sabha seats. He first won the Gorakhpur seat when 26-years-old; now 42, he has fashioned himself as the BJP's most recognised face in east Uttar Pradesh.

He uses same attire since his youth when he created hindu extremist militant wing.

So doesn't really matter how old is the picture. Even in 2020 he will be sitting with same attire and monkey (assuming he lives that long) and working in his "office".

Shalwar Kameez is the name of a dress which is worn both by men and women (in different styles). Just like Jeans and shirt is the name of a dress which is worn by both men and women.

But a very high ranking govt official wearing bright organe color lungi AND a monkey in the lap is something very entertaining,

Shalwar Kammez is a feminine wear here- only Girls wear It-

He is an animal lover- There are photos of him with Crocodile, Python, Tiger, Cow etc also

Dressing for public servent should be designated may for office purpose, untill someone gives a reasonable argument or questioning
i guess mr yogi should also follow same attire for his office purpose. Outside he can wear what ever he likes to.

He must report in a formal attire when in office. Or he shouldn't arise such questioning about clothing.

He is doing some really good works which might be overshadowed bu such meaning less farmans.

And that is not his office-

See same clothes everywhere. Doesn't matter how old are the pictures.

Just curious, if Indians were to elect a hindu Sadhu priest who runs around naked, will he be allowed to run his office in that "attire"?

I am genuinly curious.

Have some respect-

You brought it up, Shalwar Kameez and other attires are worn by both male and female, that is not a problem.

It is you who brought up the "women" angle, to which I replied.
