I don't agree with this.
These are established rules and he is enforcing them.

The scenario as of yesterday in UP was that rules & laws were not followed at all.
This man comes in and asks everyone to follow rules and enforces existing laws. He is not making new rules or laws.

To question dress code for govt officials is beyond pale. Imagine if diplomats representing a country goes in boxers and T's to UN.

And how is enforcing rules & laws objectionable?!!

Rules are not made to "please" people.
Otherwise, they won't be called rules. Rules & Law are made by majority consensus in parliament/legislature and need to be enforced irrespective.

In this scenario, govt employees work for the govt and they must follow the dress code. Police must wear the uniform.
Your logic of Police not wearing uniform if they don't want to is pedantic and does not make any sense.

Coming why the rules were not being enforced, well....there is a saying "If the Hunter is an idiot, tiger will show his ba*ls". Previous govt was incompetent, and promptly everyone took advantage of it. That's human nature everywhere.

Why you guys have double standard. You want to impose particular Arebian dress on your people and burka on women and if some other government asks to wear decent dresses in school is extremism?
