I find it incredibly hard to believe that there will not be any response at all though.

more airstrikes... They can't start a full scale invasion, first money is short and then KSA army... do not exist ( a myth).... Last thing , if they step in, their enemies will not be Houthis only, but AQ and ISIS... too

I would think that they would have very little choice but to launch at least a semi-massive response given that a major city has come under direct threat.

But I confess that I know absolutely nothing on how the Saudi mindset would operate in this kind of situation.

Saudi mindset of playing cool, avoid war, negotiate conflict by giving away monetary value.... is well known and clearly being exploited here.
Most likey these regular missile firing, is also just to enrage Saudis, which is nowhere to be seen.
Clearly all world know, its Iran firing these missiles. Let's see if and how Saudi retaliate!

The only reason why this news is a big deal is that, for the very first time, a Yemeni missile has reportedly managed to successfully strike a military base near the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

This isn't the first time the Yemenis have successfully launched ballistic missiles at Saudi bases, by the way.

Back in June 2015, a Yemeni missile managed to hit a military base in southwestern Saudi Arabia and kill the Saudi air force commander along with at least a dozen soldiers.

The Saudis initially denied the news and claimed it was Houthi/Iranian propaganda. But a week later, the Saudi media quietly announced that the Saudi air force commander died due to natural causes lol.

First we need something official from another source to confirm that news. as for if it's a scud or not, a Scud-D is 700km more or less

Actual threat to KSA from Saleh trained soldiers , they ate trained and have huge amount of Russian weapons. Houthi are basically a political threat, not more then that.

The distance between Houti held area and riyad is 1050 km but plus minus the edges from where the missile was launched and where it hited still it will be 900 plus and that means not scud. If the missile was provided by Iran it would have been intercepted cause the is THAAD deployed in UAE and they would have detected it so the missile was not ballistic and it is difficult to deliver or smuggle in such missile so it was a terrain hugging cruise missile. If it was so well plus one for houtis to fail American defense system and I seriously doubt Saudi forces now for their training.
