Christians are not part of the insurgency against Israel though, I was referring to Muslim groups opposing Israel in Lebanon, including Sunnis and Shias. But I personally don't think it's going to happen on a large scale, even if some Sunnis will be inclined to at least not interfere if Israel exclusively goes against Hezbollah.

Israel needs to accept that occupying Lebanese lands is not the answer, but I can't blame them for being sensitive about their security since allowing hostile forces to surround Israel on multiple fronts is likely to cause severe damage in case of any escalation.

Middle east politics is a can of worms, and I hope Pakistan continues to stay out of it.

Israel is not occupying any Lebanese land. Had the hezbollah not attacked the Northen Israel's formers and cross border attacks Israel wouldn't have invaded them.

The problem of putting infantry forces into a built and populated area, which is also controlled by terrorists, is to pay the price of casualties.
