You are 100% right and I have smelled that reality first hand.
But we need to be the change we wanna see in this world.
Maybe individuals I see it that way but countries in the age of nation states ,and national interests that goes out the window your average Turk even dislikes Arabs same with Arabs Pakistanis and Desi Muslims need to grow up and smell the reality



Soviet Union was the 2nd largest economy in the world until 1988 superseded by Japan it produced much of the worlds industrial equipment,trains,it had vast amounts of natural resources oil,gas minerals in all of its 15 republics its populace was well educated and was working hard what screw them was mixed up priorities abroad like Afghanistan internal squabble between the political leadership in the republics and opportunistic scums

I been reading for a while that maybe Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu may succeed him again lord of palace intrigue when you leaders who been in power for long time like Putin,Erdogan and Netanyahu you are bound to have all types of experts in their ears and palace intrigue to vie for leadership

Moreover, USSR had all the socialist part of the world as a guaranteed market for it's goods. All we needed is some sort of NEP (new economy policy), as Stalin did in 20's to recover economy. There were small and medium private companies - about 50% of all Soviet light industry goods (clothes, shoes and others) were made by private companies in Stalin's time. USSR had to be reformed, not killed. Gorbachev is a traitor and I want to see him in court while he still alive.

No fan of the soviets but their fall was big loss for Middle East specially after the west became the master of the world
