What's new

Worlds Largest Solar Power Plant now operational

.
Never thought that PV manufacturing was such a rocket science.

You are making an idiot of yourself in each and every thread. Ultimately we will profit from our renewable energy investment and that the the final goal. Nobody gives a ****from where these panels are imported from.

Bankrupt Brazil is doing better on renewable energy than India.
But the Brazilian media & government never brags a la India.

Thats the difference.
Ignored!

It's the world largest solar energy plant we can brag about it!
At the end of each post you write "ignored" lol...
As if we give a **** about what you think.

The word rocket science is a misnomer here.

Actually its a price factor.
India cant make solar panels at the price China is making.
Its the economy of scale.
Massive production equals lesser costs.

Did the US, Canadian, Australian and European companies go bankrupt because they cannot compete with chinese companies cost wise? Price is not the only parameter to judge a product.
Domestic manufacturing has always the home market advantage, surely there is enough demand within India to justify EOS.

The US imports 6 times more than Indians (value wise) from China. Does it mean many Americans companies to go bankrupt?

Bankruptcy is a misnomer again.

Would you shut up? We Chinese don't want to lose Indian business.

And The Indians want to achieve their target of 50 gw or 100gw or how much ever they have set for solar power over the next 5-10 years ...so everyone benefits :) . Clearly, India does not have the capacity to achieve this target by herself ...Actually this is a prime example of Sino -Indian cooperation at work ..

your point being?

India is full time in software with 110 billion of annual exports, but not even part time in hardware.
The Indian semiconductors industry sux. So without having a semiconductor base, how would you fabricate silicone wafer? The photo-voltaic module IS made from solar cells which require pollysilicon & monocrystalline silicon.

Right now China is the cheapest in the world:

I don't think nations can survive in a future digital world without acquiring silicon manufacturing technology let alone becoming a regional super power.

You are right. Modi is wrong (for doing nothing on this)
