Actually I prefer China to stick with neutral and multipolar world foreign policy. Being superpower means you are babysitting the others, so bothersome. People just respect you because of fear, once you weak they will "revenge".

As long as ourself is prosper, wealthy and peaceful, that is already enough. Being good to ourself and people, friendly and responsible country, bring respect from the others. Respectful big power than superpower.

In schools, they don't teach about Indo-China war or much about vietnam war; in contrast, Indian and Vietnamese governments constantly remind their people about wars and hostile relationships in educations and media.

The majority of Chinese feel the government's foreign policy is way too soft, its foreign affairs spokesperson keeps saying "we protest!!!!" because the CCP government is afraid of any external conflicts that might derail economic development and topple its control. To the CCP, party's interest trumps national interest. When China goes democratic, Chinese people will do everything to protect its national interest.
