2020 is a long time away. The world is unpredictable.

I didn't point out Pakistanis live in poverty in the UK. That was you or someone else. Figures don't tell much. I just pointed out that if they're doing super duper then having them return won't be best (some of you seemed to believe diamonds were coming out your anuses and you were irreplaceable).

Anyway, you were all talking about Indians and India, soon as I offered some comment, you brought up Pakistan.

Of cours roadrunner you forget that all Pakistanis in England work for Indians and English coz they are incredible.
I cant be ar*ed with googling and pasting on here what and where Pakistanis have been successful coz id be here all day mate. I genuinely am shocked and how Indians become defensive and selective with memory banks and forget the past.

.
here in UK i see a lost generation og boozing and weed smoking teens....they wont be of any help for britain....
how uk will manage to thrive without top brains coming frlm south.asia...has yet to be seen.

If you only account for India as a political entity and not the pleasures of NRI's (most of whom do not contribute much to India in comparison to what they earn), then it is definitely an advantage to India that they return. In 5 years they will have earned enough experience/money to come back and do the same job for a lower salary and provide more efficient employees or start their own businesses and fuel the economy. Anyhow, in 5 years India would provide employment opportunities that are on par with the UK. The loss is for those who need to go back to other countries that do not provide such opportunities.

2020 is a long time away. The world is unpredictable.

If a video game knew where Osama was hiding, then I'm sure the economists know which way nations are heading. As long as a country does not involve itself with the burden of a war, there is progress.

.
That's because you were doing so badly abroad ;)

Bad is a comparative word. There is always chance of improvement.

Many people make 100 thousand USD P.A. and still feel bad and few makes 25000 USD and still good. :usflag:

With all due respect;these are the statistics pointed out in the report that you posted;

The income poverty rate varies substantially between ethnic groups: Bangladeshis (65%), Pakistanis (55%) and black Africans (45%) have the highest rates; black Caribbeans (30%), Indians (25%), white Other (25%) and white British (20%) have the lowest rates.

For all ethnic groups, the income poverty rate appears to have fallen at a roughly similar pace over the last decade.

For all ages, family types and family work statuses, people from minority ethnic groups are, on average, much more likely to be in income poverty than white British people.

The differences are particularly great for families where at least one adult is in paid work: in these families, around 60% of Bangladeshis, 40% of Pakistanis and 30% of black Africans are in income poverty. This is much higher than the 10-15% for white British, white Other, Indians and black Caribbeans.

70% of those in income poverty in inner London are from minority ethnic groups, as are 50% in outer London.
Differences in age, family type and family work status account for around half – but only half – of the 'excess' income poverty rates suffered by minority ethnic groups compared with white British people.

Of the three factors, family work status has the biggest effect for the Bangladeshi and Pakistani population. This is because of the high proportion of working-age Bangladeshis and Pakistanis, particularly women, who are not in paid work.

So yea,it was you who pointed it out.Perhaps you didn't read through it before posting the same.

I don't want to comment on other immigrants. But Indians are doing very well in most of the country be it US or UK, Canada or Netherlands, Australia or Germany.

Most of them (3/4th) are either well settled in their business or doing good corporate jobs. They can get decent job in most of the countries including India. There are approximately 1,00,000+ Indian Scientists and quantitative analysts in US alone and on other side, Many Indian private firms and PSU companies are looking for large no. of scientists with lucrative offers in India. It would be great if these people work in India only. I hope !!
