All the people opposing the temple are either bigoted or stupid.
People need to look at the bigger picture of where Pakistan is coming from and where it is going, how it is perceived in the wider world and how it is trying to counter that perception.
Since Imran Khan has come to power, the perceptions of both Pakistan and India have changed considerably, for the better in Pakistan's case, for the worse in India's.
What has been the difference? Minority rights.
Pakistan has had to fight hard to reverse it's image as the mothership of terrorism to a progressive inclusive country that treats it's minorities well, regardless of which religion they belong to. It has had to do this to be seen in a good light by the rest of the world and stop the kneejerk opposition it attracts every time Pakistan is mentioned.
Pakistan has succeeded to a great extent but there is a long way to go.
Actions like this will send the right message to the world community and attract investment, tourism and most importantly, goodwill, from foreign governments and people alike, which will in turn help our political, economic and diplomatic standing.
