in Pakistan both are looked down upon boars are looked at as pests but Hindus in Sindh and Christians in Punjab even have special boar feasts on weddingsWild boars are not taken as pigs. Pigs are looked down upon and hence are 'reprehensible', hence in India you will not find pork openly. While wild boars are taken as exotic meat, but hunting wild boars is banned in India hence it is illegal to keep or eat it.
