You and your nonsense again. Beside Hollywood, which film production country provide the same level of international recognition? Truth of the matter is Hollywood dominated the film industry. A lot of it comes down to big budget, being from a rich country, from an English speaking country with a white face certainly help. So none of your 4th dimension crap LOL.
Do you even know what "4th Dimension" means in the industry?
"4th Dimension" came from a TV term "Breaking the 4th Wall" which mean when a TV Character directly talk to the audience either facing the camera or indirectly by communicating with the audience (either by read back or flashback scene)
Ferris Bueller's Day Off is one of the most famous breaking the 4th wall movie there are. They intensively make use of the character Bueller (Matthew Broderick) constantly explaining his scheme to the audience on how he is going to pull out one major act of truant. That draw the audience into the film.
4th Dimension is different than Breaking the 4th Wall, because you don't break the 4th Wall and you don't communicate with the audience directly or indirectly. You identify your story toward your audience, dissect your story and let the audience walk into the 4th Dimension.
There are many big budget film in Hollywood that fail to draw attention and flop, and when I said A lot, I mean A
LOT. Big Budget does not equate to success In the industry "4th Dimension" mean you need to use your film to communicate with the audience, a successful film need to speak to the audience, the audience feel like they are part of the story.
And for a film to success, they need to draw people who know nothing about your movie to watch your movie, either they have a story that can identify themselves with the character, that's hard when there exist a cultural different. Or they have a commonly well known story. There are many British Film (Harry Potter, for one) succeed beyond imagination, that's because we can all look at Daniel Redcliff and think we are the wizard and that is our journey. Same deals goes to other foreign film, English Speaking or Non-English Speaking. Some Non-English Speaking film set so well that Hollywood production decided to copy them directly, movie like The Departed (Copy from Inferno Affair from Hong Kong) The Ring/The Grudge (Copy from Japanese Movie The ring) Hunger Game (Copy from Japanese Movie Battle Royale) The Bridge (Copy from Swedish/Danish TV series Bron) The Killing (Copy from Danish Crime TV thriller Forbrydelsen ) The list goes on.
So, for Wolf Warrior, how people outside China is going to digest a story about a Chinese Hero Waving the Chinese Flag and kill a lot of people on the way? How audience outside China could possibly walk into the story? Not all of them are flag waving Chinese Patriot you know. It's stupid to say Hollywood success is due to English Speaking and White Face, dude, that's almost 1/3 of the world cover. Canada, UK, Germany, France, Norway, Sweden, Austria, Finland, The Baltics, Russia, Hungary, North Africa etc. These country all developed and hence have money and all majority are white people, why their movie is not a success and dominating the world market?
Man you guys are funny, you guys obviously do not know what I said yet I am still wrong in your mind because, well, I said it. That's really funny you know that? T
