With India Mulling To Scrap The Indus Water Treaty, Here Are The Concerns It Should First Address

IWT may need to be stopped. Indus river originates from China, flows through Kashmir , and then enters Pakistan. It has nothing to do with India. Let's say, if Pakistani government takes up the issue with China, we should take concerted action to India. If a peaceful discussion doesn't work why can't we just take over the area by force?

China has other ways to cut throats of India with water.

if china wants to risk their markets in India go ahead

Brave, fighting words from the guy living in the UK.....

I have homes, relatives, friends, business interests in Kashmir/Pakistan too and regularly travel and stay there

Where am I saying there is a water treaty between India and China? I am saying, they will not do something for Pakistan to prove a point against India and will not get involved in the dispute between India and Pakistan.
We just don't like bragging all around, parkistan and india are two sovereign country, we respect both of you. But once it come true, india bully our little brother too much and cut the water, india will find the true anager.

2 hours later. pakistan will not be given most favourite nations status any more.

pakistan is important for china due to the 400 billions dollar they will save every year due to less cost moving goods gawader to china.
CEPC is important ,but don't put too much on it. China to parkistan, more from inside feelings of friendship, help you speed up your ecnomy to secure your safety. china have no intention to get sth back from parkistan, not counting the gain and loss

suspension talks means you won't be listening to any of our concerns which is just like scrapping the treaty

My friend, there is a difference. And that is the moot point. Legally, they are very different.

Please show me the mutual defence pact between China and Pakistan. You do realise, that if you intervene militarily you will have to deal with a quiet border becoming hostile? Tell me, what did China do during Kargil? It was responsible and stayed away.

We had prime ministers amd finance ministers with an Oxford degrees or havard degrees too.
In the end all that matters is how successful you are in convincing the crowd and how the local mass judges you based on your past record.

I am not gonna answer you on the cr@p you posted above but one thing you should keep in mind is that when you starts boasting on how all the local masses of Pakistan has access to military gears what is the state of your country and the future of its people when you have youngsters armed with AK-47 and grenedes?
As far as I remember last time India PM Man mohan Singh was also highly educated. And when he left the office the people started to celebrate in India about how corrupt he and his government was so your comments on educated PM are epic fail lol.

Now to second comment iknow my crap hurts you like hell and I love it lol. And i will give you reply in one sentence. Check the number and types of weapons people own in USA. Usa or Uncle Sam the super power that is our future inshallah lol.

Former J&K minister fears war with Pakistan if India dishonours Indus Waters Treaty

Former Jammu and Kashmir state water resource minister and senior Congress leader Taj Mohiuddin on Friday said that there is a possibility of a war breaking out between India and Pakistan, if India violates the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty (IWT) between the two neighbouring countries.
Earlier, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Vikas Swarup had said, "It cannot be a one-sided affair,” when asked about a possible rethink over the treaty. He also said that it was based on "goodwill”.
In an exclusive interview with Firstpost, Mohiuddin said that the treaty between India and Pakistan, which was brokered by the World Bank in 1960, is being monitored and guaranteed by the international financial institution, and stopping water to Pakistan will mean a conventional war between the two countries.
Though people in Jammu and Kashmir will benefit by such a move, if the Indian government decides to abrogate the treaty, but the question, he said is "what will we do with these rivers? If we try to divert this water, Kashmir will become a satisar (waters all around) and even in that case, the excess water will go to Azad Kashmir".
In 2012, the Jammu and Kashmir government had engaged the services of an international consultancy to assess the losses suffered by the state on account of the treaty. Once the report was ready, the then Omar Abdullah government, of which Mohiuddin was a minister, had decided to seek compensation from the Centre.
"No one knows the exact figures of the losses we had incurred because of the treaty. It ranges between Rs 10,000 crore and Rs 80,000 crore, which is why the state employed the services of the consultancy,” Abdullah had said then.
On Friday, however, Abdullah tweeted, "Will stick my neck out & say that nothing will happen to the Indus Water Treaty. It survived 4 wars & a J&K assembly unanimous resolution.”
In another tweet he said, "It was an abomination & should never have gone through. J&K has suffered long on its account but this government isn't going to scrap it.”

"This is impossible. It is a childish statement,” Mohiuddin told Firstpost. "Diverting a river would take at least 20 years. The waters of Chenab can go up to Rajasthan, but when we try to this, do you think our neighbouring country will stay silent?”
"You can't divert the waters of these rivers - Jhelum, Chenab, Neelum - and we don't have the authority to generate electricity and store waters of the rivers,” he said.
"Our projects are run of the river. We could have still generated 10,000 megawatts of electricity,” Mohiuddin said.
New Delhi gave up its claim on the water of three rivers - Jhelum, Chenab and Indus - (all flowing from Jammu and Kashmir) to Pakistan in lieu of three eastern rivers - Satluj, Beas and Ravi - under the treaty.
Although these rivers flow through the state, the treaty prevents the storage of water otherwise owned by the state, which is why the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly had moved a resolution seeking compensation for the losses.

So Chinese think tanks are policy of the Chinese government? Have you heard of the official Chinese position? Please do read their statement. Is there any treaty which says, there is a China Pakistan Defence Pact? If yes, please do show me the same.

Do you understand, that, if China agrees on a mutual defence pact, they will need to contend with war on all sides? The only areas where they currently do not have an active military conflict is the Indian, Russian and Mongolian borders. You think, they will want US and India mutual defence pact? Have you any idea of geo politics? Do you understand that, if the Pakistani state collapses, there will be a separate deal between the Indian and Chinese governments allowing routes from Gujarat and Mumbai all the way to China. Let's be clear. We have minor border disputes with China. Neither of our countries want war with each other. You think, China will get involved into a war with a nuclear armed neighbour? Please talk sense.

Let's be clear, China is a rational, business driven economy. While Pakistan is a emotional, irrational State. Till the time it suits the Chinese they will do business with you. And we are glad they do business with you. At least, there will remain one country which can be trusted to talk with Pakistan, if and when things go ballistic.
First of all improve your comprehension skills. Secondly please do tell where did i said China has a defence pact with us? The highlighted part shows your lack of mental capacity of seeing things rationally specially when it comes to Pakistan. So i wont indulge you any further.
