How stupid of them to not realize that If Bahwa and Sidhu bonhomie results in less LOC firing, results in less killings of soldiers and civilians alike...it is a win win for both countries, and they are arguing and questioning why did Sidhu hugged Bajwa...when they are killing our soldiers as if no Pakistani soldiers are killed, though the civilian killings is high here...hindsight at its best, cynicism and paranoia has got a new meaning.

Why would any Sikh not choose Lahore as the capital of their sovereign country

Because the Sikh population in Lahore is less that 0.1%, Delhi suit them more where they are around 4% but they are not asking for it either. All they want is a seperate state where Sikhs are in majority i.e Punjab and few districts of Rajashtan and Haryana.

If any Christian country occupy these holy regions then wouldn't Muslims fight to reclaim it ?

Interesting theory. So you mean that Sikhs were living in Punjab before Muslims moved in and now make the majority of the Punjabi speaking population. Because there has been no Christians in Hejaz area for the last 1400 years, even before that it was not a Christian dominated area. Now in Punjab even at the time of Ranjit Singh, muslim made more than 60% of the Punjabi population with Sikhs making less than 4%. So this analogy does not stand. Most of the Muslim Punjabis are of the same stock as Sikhs(Jats, Rajputs etc).

Having said all that, Khalistan is nothing more than a day dream. Majority of Sikhs are quite content within India, and even if they were not Indian military muscle compared to Sikh population is just too strong. Sawa Lakh nal ek nu Laraway is all good but in 21st century it ain't gonna work.

Unless India becomes extremely unstable economically, and one or a few of the larger Indian states like UP, Maharashtra, Bihar and West Bengal or the Southern states lead by Tamil Nadu asks for secession, Kashmir and Punjab are stuck with India. And considering how nationalistic or rather ultra-nationalistic UP, Maharashtra and Bihar are, West Bengal and Southern states would be my best bet. But right now, there are more chances of London declaring Independence from UK than any of these events to happen.
